Moreover, not abandoning the sphere of appearance is the key of keys. If someone has realized the view of clarity and emptiness, then all preliminary practices of meditative equipoise are perfected within that view. How so? Even the motivation, according to the tantric viewpoint, the inner and outer world of beings and environment abides in the nature of the realm and palace, body and wisdom. Therefore, in order for those sentient beings pervading space who have not realized this, their two obscurations and their habitual tendencies to be purified, thereby manifesting the mandala of self-appearing wisdom, and through one lifetime attaining the state of Vajradhara, one should generate the intention to realize profound emptiness and practice in one lifetime. Engaging in actions that accord with the Dharma is called conduct. The way to take the essence of the leisure and endowment body with the four thoughts that turn the mind is: body appearance emptiness is the body of the Victorious Ones, speech sound emptiness is the speech of the Victorious Ones, mind remembrance emptiness is the nature of the mind of the Victorious Ones, with the nature of the three doors and three mandalas, one takes the essence in this way, and there is no more excellent way to take the essence than that, the Victorious One Vajradhara has not spoken of it in any sutra, tantra, or treatise. If one realizes the view of clarity and emptiness without error, and abides in that state, then putting aside all worldly affairs of this life, one meditates on the meaning of emptiness, therefore aversion arises from the affairs of appearance in this life. Because leisure and endowment are not wasted, one has obtained the essence of leisure and endowment, therefore there is the instruction and practice that is difficult to obtain. Like that, in the realm of clarity and emptiness, the nature of all phenomena, its power and radiance unceasingly appear vastly as unreal, therefore aversion arises from clinging to permanence. This is also the meditation instruction on death and impermanence, it is the stronghold of the deathless original state. The Buddha said that Bodhicitta originally has no birth or death. From the power of self-arisen wisdom, in the realm of objectless view, no matter how good or bad thoughts arise, there is no opportunity to accumulate habitual tendencies, but they arise and are liberated, therefore aversion arises from the aspect of sin and non-virtue. Not lacking the aggregation of karmic cause and effect, protecting karmic cause and effect like the eyes is what is meant by that. Because one knows the state of the outer and inner world of beings and environment as the nature of body and realm.

It is said that one should turn away from the desire to attain heavenly realms. The faults of samsara are that all these dharmas, encompassed by appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, are: the outer vessel being pure, the mandala of the Victorious Ones; the inner essence being pure, the assembly of Vidyadharas; the lineage being pure, the play of wisdom; the sound being pure, the self-sound of reality. Because it is like that, it is said to be the view of equality of samsara and nirvana, without acceptance or rejection. Furthermore, when the appearance of the Bardo of Dharmata arises, it is similar to the appearance of a dream. At that time, although it appears as if giving help and guidance, it is still like the appearance of a dream. At that time, recognize it as self-appearance. Decide that self-appearance has no inherent existence. When the knower dissolves into the primordial expanse, all external appearances that arise are purified into the ground, like reflections in a crystal. Furthermore, when the element of the Sugata-garbha manifests, it is when the path to liberation is grasped. Furthermore, common mantra calls it the self-nature ground lineage. In the uncommon tantras, it is called self-arisen wisdom. Mastering the self-arisen primordial ground is said to be attaining liberation. Furthermore, the virtuous friend is also the appearance of the root guru of the present due to some previous virtuous result. Like the appearance of the guru in a dream, it is self-appearance, it is said. That guru, the virtuous friend, should be seen as Dharma in whatever he does, through thought. Through action, one must carry out whatever he says. The best is the offering of practice, the intermediate is using body and speech as servants, the lowest is the offering of the three circles in purity. One must offer one's belongings without any remainder, it is said. The guru is also the manifestation of the power of self-arisen wisdom, so when the view of awareness and emptiness is realized, he is a great virtuous friend, it is said. Furthermore, during meditation, for example, just as all small streams dissolve into the depths of the ocean, all appearances of phenomena are seen as primordially liberated without being abandoned in the realm of awareness and emptiness. If one understands the key point in that way, it is like a hundred rivers converging under a bridge. When rising from meditation, for example, just as all small streams emanate from the boundless ocean, from the state of awareness and emptiness in union, the wisdom that realizes awareness or selflessness knows the flaws and characteristics of all phenomena that appear as objects, and thus realizes the true nature. For example, self-arisen wisdom itself is like the sky.
