The Mind Section liberates by recognizing the self-power and what arises from it. The Space Section desires to realize the adornment of the great empty realm, to leave it in its own place, and to be liberated. The Instruction Section liberates without abandonment or adoption in the state of the union of awareness and emptiness. The Mind Section does not liberate the mind with the mind because the mind does not see the mind. According to the Space Section, just as darkness does not remain in the presence of light, because there is no ignorant mind in the essence of space and awareness, wisdom does not see the mind, so it does not desire liberation in the state of space. The Instruction Section states that in the nature of awareness, in the realm of suchness, all tenets and attachments, where phenomena are empty from their own side and the nature of phenomena is empty from the other side, cannot be established, and all abandonment and adoption are self-liberated, dissolving without a trace, which is extremely wonderful, and therefore superior to other paths. The Fifth: Discriminating Between the All-Base and the Dharmakaya: Although the all-base and the dharmakaya are similar in that their essence is non-conceptual, the all-base is actual ignorance. It is the basis from which all minds and mental events arise, the support where all the habitual tendencies of the three realms are initially placed, the path of holding in between, and the vessel in which they ultimately ripen. The all-base is non-conceptual, its essence is unstated, its aspect is a dim consciousness, and it does not go beyond any experience of bliss, clarity, and non-thought. For example, ignorance is like a boat, the eight consciousnesses are like people, and the meaning of the place is like the equipment of the three bodies. The ignorance that is deluded about the essence of reality is the all-base of ultimate meaning. If one recognizes one's own nature, it is associated with liberation, and if one does not recognize it, it is associated with samsara, so the all-base that combines is the all-base of meaning. The physical body of flesh and blood is the desire realm, the form realm is the body of light, and the formless realm is the body of mind. In terms of having the habitual tendencies of these three, it is the all-base of the habitual body. Karma is virtuous, non-virtuous, and unwavering karma, which is the same as the habitual tendencies of the three realms, and is the all-base of various habitual tendencies. The Dharmakaya is the support of wisdom that is not under the control of ignorance, the essence of the realm of reality, which does not abide together with grasping and being grasped, and the part that is not defiled by karma and habitual tendencies is the Dharmakaya, like a clear ocean floor. Sixth: Discriminating at the Time of Confusion and Liberation: Although both confusion and liberation are impossible for the present naked awareness, at the time when the ground appearance arises,

If one recognizes this, one will be liberated; if one does not recognize it, one will be confused. This is the distinction between confusion and liberation. By placing the present naked awareness in equanimity, one gains stability in equanimity, purifies the habitual tendencies of deep sleep, and thereby seizes the thick luminosity. One purifies the luminosity of the Dharmakaya in the dying bardo and liberates into the Dharmakaya. Through the power of training in subsequent thoughts, one combines the meditation of equanimity with the subsequent attainment. One purifies the habitual tendencies of dreams. In the Dharmata Bardo, one recognizes the appearance of the ground as self-appearance and liberates into the Sambhogakaya. In the Sipa Bardo, one breathes in the field of the Svabhavikakaya, etc. For all practices, one must have certainty, like an arrow aimed at a target. Seventh, the distinction of the spontaneously accomplished ground and result is: the initial general ground where samsara and nirvana have not arisen, and the initial ground of the ultimate place of liberation, both are similar only in that they are the "ground," but there is a difference in whether they become the ground of confusion or not. Eighth, the distinction of the originally pure path and result is: if one considers the way of being of awareness, it abides without change in the three times, but if one considers it from the perspective of beings, one can only see a moment of awareness now, that is, the awareness of the present path, and the awareness of the ultimate result, both are similar only in the union of Dharmadhatu awareness, but there is a difference in whether karmic winds have entered or not. Ninth, the distinction of the Bardo deities is: in the Dharmata Bardo, the deity body of spontaneously accomplished awareness radiance, and in the Sipa Bardo, the deity body of the illusory body of mere wind-mind, both are similar only in the appearance of the deity body, but there is a great difference in size and whether one can be liberated or not. Tenth, the distinction of breathing in a field is: the lower vehicles, through countless eons, finally attain the first bhumi up to the tenth bhumi, and see the complete Sambhogakaya Buddha, and the fortunate individual who enters the Dzogchen path, immediately after transferring this life, breathes in the field of the Svabhavikakaya as if awakening from a dream, both are similar only in the appearance of the field, but there is a difference in whether the power of path appearance is complete, and in the experience of realization. Third, the key point of explaining the method of placement is: three La-zlas, four methods of placement, seven nails, which are spoken in combination with the past and future, is entrusting awareness to the present.
