Manifestation is spontaneous accomplishment. Spontaneous accomplishment is self-manifestation. Self-manifestation is wisdom. Wisdom is primordially liberated. Primordial liberation is self-awareness. Self-awareness is the Dharmakaya. Therefore, when the awareness of compassion slightly arises outward for a moment, one realizes these six dharmas and becomes a Buddha. Furthermore, instructions that do not arise from scriptures, a Buddha that does not arise from the mind, a result that does not arise from a cause, self-manifestation, self-arising, and naturally liberated Buddhahood—although the ways of speaking are different, their meaning is the same. Fourth, explaining how impure sentient beings are deluded, there are three parts: explaining the causes and conditions of delusion, explaining the manner of delusion's appearance, and explaining the distinction between appearance and mind. First, explaining the causes and conditions of delusion: When the ground-appearance arises from the ground, awareness's own power becomes an obscuration to itself. The subtle wind-mind, the ignorance that slightly deviates from awareness is foolish. The unmentioned consciousness that is associated with the alaya consciousness is the sole ignorance that is the cause, that is, the root of samsara, the subtle cognitive obscuration or the residue of cognitive obscuration. Wisdom diminishes itself, and karmic winds become bundled, becoming the cause of samsara without error. When that becomes more powerful, the subtle five sense consciousnesses that are associated with discriminating consciousness, the inability to grasp external appearances is co-emergent ignorance. From that, power increases greatly, and the beginning of grasping at a self in relation to an object, the ignorance that is associated with the mind consciousness is the imputational ignorance. The way these three gather and combine to produce the four conditions is as follows: Dharmata is the basis of delusion for objects, the five lights are the basis of delusion for the environment and beings, and awareness is the basis of delusion for the mind. The emptiness-luminosity of essence and the luminosity of nature are the causal conditions for objects. The luminosity of compassionate awareness appearing as discriminating aspects is the dominating condition for the subject. The awareness-luminosity of the subject fixating on the object-luminosity is the condition of grasping. Because these three conditions are simultaneously present, delusion arises continuously, making it the immediate condition. Depending on the three causes and four conditions, the result of virtuous actions is higher realms, the result of non-virtuous actions is lower realms, and the result of unwavering actions is the two higher realms. The teachers of Sutra and Tantra have not said that there are causes for samsara other than these three. Second, explaining the manner of delusion's appearance:

Thus, the container world of the six realms of beings, sentient beings, places, bodies, enjoyments, and delusions and illusions, none of these are established on the initial ground, nor are they established on the ultimate result, nor are they established in the current state of the path. Even the ignorance that is the basis of delusion is not established, so apart from being like hairs in the sky, their essence has never been established as even a tiny particle. Because it is the appearance of emptiness alone, it is not established as an external entity. Third, explaining the difference between appearance and mind: So, are these things that appear to exist and be established, the container and its contents, the mind? If you say it is the mind, it is not the mind, but the habit of the mind's illusion. Therefore, there is not even a particle of anything established apart from the mind. For example, the appearance of a dream does not go beyond the state of sleep. In a dream, one finds a jewel and enjoys it, but upon waking, one has not initially found the jewel, nor has the basis for enjoyment been established in the middle, nor is there any disappearance or loss at the end. Similarly, neither appearance nor consciousness has an established basis. Afterwards, the way to guide practice is divided into two: explaining the distinctions of the paths and explaining the actual path. First, the distinctions between the three categories of Mind, Space, and Instruction: First, the Mind category believes that the nature of Bodhicitta is not established anywhere, nor is it the basis of anything. Luminous wisdom is like the sky. Its power and energy are uninterrupted, equal to the objects of the six senses, bright and clear, like an image in a mirror. It is free from all faults of dullness and confusion. Whatever experience arises, it is understood as a magical display. Second, the Space category believes that all phenomena, internal and external, do not go beyond the unborn nature of reality, and liberation comes from the space of Samantabhadri, with no other place of liberation. Therefore, it is liberation from the extremes of antidotes, the category of effortless space. Third, the Instruction category believes that these two are understood as the union of awareness and emptiness, abiding in the natural state, liberated from the two extremes of abandonment and antidote, the profound category of Instruction. The Mind category emphasizes wisdom, the Space category emphasizes the expanse, and the Instruction category emphasizes union. Second, explaining the actual path, which is divided into three: explaining the key points of the method of liberation, explaining the guidance of discernment, and explaining the key points of the method of abiding. First
