Experience. Due to losing the path of mental sensations, one experiences suffering inwardly. Due to the collapse of the ocean of grasping and being grasped, the support connecting body and mind is lost, and one experiences the suffering of fear, actually dwelling in the suffering of fear of death. The appearance of the Dharmata Bardo is: due to losing the support of clinging to the aggregates as self, the appearances of the Body and Wisdom naturally arise. Due to the severance of the connection of karma and habitual patterns, one naturally abides in the innate meditation of intrinsic nature. Due to the emptiness of the objects held by the senses, one enjoys the clear light of pure self-appearance. The appearance of the Sridpa Bardo is: the existence of the outer body, the mind-made body, is unfixed like the appearance of a dream. The existence of the inner mind enters into many conceited places and universally conceptualizes. The existence of the union of body and mind travels without obstruction in any place and enjoys various sufferings. Thus it is said. From the Treasury of the Supreme Vehicle Jewel. Fifth, the boundary has four divisions: the boundary of the Bardo of Naturally Abiding, from emerging from the mother's womb until finally being struck by illness due to the cause of death. From then until the inner breath is not completely cut off is the Bardo of Imminent Death. From the inner breath ceasing until the clear light dawns, between the appearances of spontaneous accomplishment is the Dharmata Bardo. From then, spontaneous accomplishment subsides, appearing like a hazy dream, until entering the mother's womb is the boundary of the Sridpa Bardo. Moreover, the instructions that indicate the final recognition at the time of death are called the instructions for "sweeping away obstacles" for the guest who is passing through. Moreover, the dying person is a guest on the road, and the suffering of death is very great. If one does not recognize the various appearances of the path as self-appearances, there will be obstacles that rise as enemies. If one recognizes them, there will be obstacles that appear as friends. Therefore, instructing in the sweeping away at the time of death is called the instruction for "sweeping away obstacles," and this analogy and meaning are appropriate. Thus it is said. From the Treasury of Precious Words and Meanings. The yogi's instruction is to be given at this time to those who are fortunate to have the karmic connection to this Dharma. If one has clear understanding oneself, that is sufficient, so one should remember at this time to take either of the two key points of entering places and abodes, and entering the Body and Wisdom, as the path. The first is transference of consciousness (འཕོ་བ།,पर,para,超越;转移): when the last breath goes out, transfer the awareness from the heart to the full form of the guru's body, filled with five lights.

Or, visualize a white AḤ (Tibetan: ཨཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), and visualize it extending upwards from the fontanel, reciting twenty-one stacked HIK (Tibetan:, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization:, Literal Chinese meaning:) will surely lead to liberation. The second method is to focus awareness on the eyes in one of the three sitting postures or the lion posture. Focus the expanse of the eyes on rigpa, and rest in the state of primordial purity, without distraction, and liberation will occur in that very instant. If the expanse of rigpa is not clear, then maintain unwavering faith in the ways in which the bardo of dharmata manifests, just as one trusts a friend in unstable times, trusting him wherever he goes, inside, outside, above, and below, and by recognizing the true nature of dharmata, liberation is certain. If you are not clear about these instructions yourself and lack confidence, then ask a lama or dharma brother with pure samaya to clarify them. Show him the manifest appearances and have him look at them in that state. Tell him, "This rigpa that is now appearing in the bardo is called the bardo of dharmata, so recognize it as your own appearance." And clarify the meaning of trekchö and tögal, telling him, "This naked rigpa is the place of liberation of primordial purity, so look at it without wavering." So it is said. In the Questions and Answers on Meditation, it says, "In your practice of tögal, the deity (the oral tradition says that it is also like the manifestation of light points in the center of the space point. Commentary.) is appearing." No matter how much or how little appears, completely cut off attachment to the fields of the spontaneously blissful, self-existing nirmanakaya, and let your rigpa emerge from the center of your heart in the form of a ball of light. Let the rainbow-like rays of light emerge from the eyes and merge into the heart of the deity. Please meditate in the state where the seer and the seen are inseparable, and the deity and your own mind are inseparable. This lineage is a precious instruction on the union of the sun and moon, and it is said to be a secret seal that should not be easily transmitted. (༈) Furthermore, the five elements pervading the five skandhas, that is, the twenty-five, are naturally complete in one's own body, thus producing the radiance and power of wisdom, etc. As it says in the Self-Arisen, "The five great elements are complete in one's own body. The five winds produce the radiance of wisdom. The five fires produce the power of wisdom. The five earths produce the essence of wisdom. The five waters produce the objects of wisdom. The five spaces produce the place of wisdom." So it is said. Among them, the five earths
