The self-appearing phenomena of the activities of the two bodies of form are the pure Dharmata Bardo, and all the impure phenomena of the six realms of delusion are the deluded Bardo. Between which of these two, pure and impure, do these phenomena exist? Since they move outward from the realm of primordial purity and must again dissolve into primordial purity, they exist between the nature of primordial purity. The beginning also arises from there, and now it also exists between the inner and outer aspects of its manifestation, and ultimately it must also be delivered into its state. There is no Bardo in the realm of primordial purity, because it itself does not depend on the preceding and following of other phenomena, and it is impossible to enter between any two, because it transcends the extremes of change and appearance-emptiness. In the *Thal 'gyur* it says: "In the primordial purity of the very beginning, it cannot be said to be merely the basis of delusion. Likewise, what is it that is not deluded?". This place, if one has wisdom, is also a great bond. Second, the definition is: The term "Bardo" refers to the dharma that is in the middle of any above, below, before, or after. For example, the dream Bardo exists between falling asleep and waking up. The term "Ma" represents the middle. The term "Do" refers to the state of being in the middle like a connecting thread that joins the beginning and the end, like the connecting thread in the middle of a yoke. Third, the classification: There are two types, common and uncommon. Some common vehicles consider the Bardo of birth and death, the Bardo of dreams, the Bardo of Dharmata, and the Bardo of existence, etc., but in this uncommon vehicle, the King of Secrets, there are four Bardos: the Bardo of nature, the Bardo of dying, the Bardo of Dharmata, and the Bardo of existence. In the *Thal 'gyur* it says: "Such is the Dharmata of the Bardo, which is taught as an extremely secret Dharmata. If classified, there are four aspects.". Fourth, in the *Treasury of Words and Meanings*, it says that there are four ways of appearing. For the way of appearing of the Bardo that abides in its own nature, there are both general instructions and specific explanations. The first has three aspects: the general stability of the three realms, the different types of situations, and the individual stability of the person. The general stability refers to the state of mind in which the root ignorance appears as the object of grasping due to the placement of individual imprints on the Alaya, the five external objects appear as the forms of objects, appear as the body, appear as the joy and sorrow of pleasure, pain, and neutrality, and all the afflictions such as attachment appear as the five poisons, one after another.

Because it appears as revolving, it is called the common appearance of the three realms. From that, the ways in which different types of places appear are too numerous to describe, but if summarized, they are the six realms of beings, who mostly resemble each other in terms of place, body, and happiness and suffering, separated and combined from their respective parts, becoming the six realms. From the abodes and happiness of the gods who share the same karma, to humans and asuras, etc. For all of these, there is no complete agreement on a single object. Even just water, the gods see it as nectar, etc. Even just a cloud, the Paranirmita-vasavartins, etc., cause rain of jewels and flowers to fall. The Thirty-three and the Four Great Kings cause rain of nectar to fall. Humans see it as water. Animals are completely tormented and can only barely drink it. Pretas see it as rain of pus and blood. Hell beings see it as rain of burning embers. As the Two Truths says: "One object, minds are different, therefore seeing things as unaccomplished." These appear as different things in the external environment, but in reality, there is no other real establishment. And these are all due to the different karmas of each. As the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra says: "Who made the burning iron ground? Where did these masses of fire come from? The Buddha said that all of them are due to sinful minds." Just like that. Among these, what appears particularly strong is that the beings of each type of place, some are happy, some are suffering, and some are in an intermediate state. The way they appear is that even to the same giver, the gods hold them separately as enemy, friend, and neutral. Some food appears as poison to some, and some appearances appear as darkness to some, etc. There are many internal inconsistencies. These are also transformations of their respective desires. As it says in the Dharma Category of the Noble Jewel Stack Sutra: "Karma is diverse, so it is like a painter." Just like that. Specifically, for the bardo that exists in its own nature, being bound by the five aggregates, the appearance of the five bodies naturally ceases; being bound by the elements and sense bases, the appearance of light and color naturally ceases; being bound by karma and afflictions, the appearance of wisdom and dharmata naturally ceases. The way the dying bardo appears is that the elements of the body are disturbed, so the suffering of the external environment is experienced.
