The embodiment of all that is gathered, the treasure of incomparable compassion, is the glorious root guru. In appearance, he is the Great Orgyen Vajradhara, his body color white with a reddish glow, radiant. With one face, two arms, and two legs, he sits in the posture of a king at play. His right hand holds aloft a golden five-pronged vajra, in a threatening gesture. At the crown of the main figure is Dharma King Trisong Detsen, in the attire of a Chakravartin King. His hands are in meditative equipoise, with lotus stems and scriptures emanating from them. To his right is the Great Translator Vairotsana, in the guise of a Pandit. His right hand bestows refuge. His left hand is in meditative equipoise, holding a book. To the king's left is Yeshe Tsogyal, in the attire of the Sambhogakaya. Her feet are in the posture of a playful consort. Her right hand bestows supreme blessings. Her left hand holds a kapala filled with amrita, resting at her waist. Above the king's head is Orgyen Rinpoche, like Padmasambhava blazing with light, and above him, in succession, is Drime Shenyen, his hands in meditative equipoise, holding a skull cup filled with amrita. Jnanasutra, his right hand bestows refuge, his left hand is in meditative equipoise, holding a book. Shri Singha, his right hand holds a vajra and points a threatening mudra at the sky, his left hand holds a kapala resting at his waist.
