“It creates happiness and suffering.” Also, in the White Lotus Sutra, it says: “Karma is like a painter who does everything, Karma is like a dancer who performs.” Also, in the Sutra Distinguishing Karma, the Brahmin boy Nete asked the son of the householder Doda (Note: Please ask), "Gautama, what is the cause and condition by which sentient beings have short lives, long lives, many diseases, few diseases, ugliness, beauty, great power, small power, nobility, lowliness, great wealth, little wealth, great wisdom, and little wisdom?" The Buddha replied, "Brahmin boy, sentient beings are born from karma, are governed by karma, have karma as their birthplace, and depend on karma. Therefore, there are distinctions of inferiority, superiority, mediocrity, nobility, lowliness, evil, and goodness. Sentient beings have various karmas, various views, and various behaviors." It also says: "Black karma causes sentient beings to be born in hell, hungry ghosts, and animals. White karma causes sentient beings to be born in the realms of gods and humans." In short, the cause of happy and unhappy realms depends entirely on good and non-virtue. There are two types of virtue: those that are conducive to merit, which only produce the happiness of existence and will eventually be exhausted, such as the ten virtues, the four concentrations, and the four formless absorptions, which are unrelated to liberation; and those that are conducive to liberation, which are in accordance with the cause of Nirvana. Therefore, if one has unwavering faith in the principle of cause and effect, and carefully adopts and abandons even the slightest virtuous or non-virtuous actions, it is truly wonderful. As it is said in the Commentary on the Mind of Enlightenment: "Having known all phenomena to be emptiness, if one still relies on the fruits of virtuous actions, this is more wonderful than wonderful, this is more marvelous than marvelous." That is to say, whether it is a lama wearing a hat, a wandering practitioner, a monk in the mountains, a Geshe who teaches epistemology, a Khenpo who upholds the precepts, an ascetic who has no fixed abode, or a village monk who is proficient in rituals, no matter how high or low their status, if they do not adopt or abandon karma and its effects, then they are selling the Three Jewels,

That is because, as it is said: "Though adorned with the saffron robe, appearing peaceful and beautiful, one whose mind is wicked like a cat, such a false image of a holy person is beyond remedy, and should be stuffed into the mouths of the demonesses. Even if one sits as the chief of ninety thousand, yet like Vishnu, unable to subdue one's own mind, one whose light of attachment and hatred radiates in the ten directions, should be cast into the mouth of Yama, the Lord of Death." As it is said, engaging in the causes of bad rebirths, no matter how beautiful it may seem outwardly, is merely pretending to deceive others, and has no essence. Sakya Pandita said: "If the tail of a wild animal is not shown, one cannot sell inferior meat. Likewise, if good conduct is not shown, one cannot deceive with false teachings." As he said. Furthermore, Lord Nagarjuna said: "Saying there is no result of karma, is not merit, but leads to bad rebirths." Dromtonpa said: "Whatever good or bad deeds one does in life, their results will appear in the future." As it is said. Moreover, Maudgalyayana, who had mastery over miraculous powers, was beaten to death by heretics. The Arhat Guruchung passed away after begging for ash porridge. Rabnuk, the son of King Deshyok, cut off Nagarjuna's throat with kusha grass, causing his head to fall to the ground and he passed away. Also, in the past, there was a Kashmiri monk named Rawaati, who had attained clairvoyance and miraculous powers, and had many disciples. Once, he was dyeing a saffron robe in a forest. At that time, a householder nearby lost a calf and went to search for it. He saw smoke in the forest and went to look, finding a monk making a fire. He asked: "What are you doing?" The monk said: "I am dyeing a robe." The man opened the dye pot and saw meat inside. The monk himself also saw the meat. Thereupon, the man took him to the king and said: "This person stole my calf, please punish him." The king put him in a dungeon. After a few days, the man's cow found the calf on its own. So, the man reported to the king, saying: "This monk did not steal the calf, please release him." However, the king was negligent and did not release him for six months. Then, many of his disciples who had attained miraculous powers flew from the sky and came before the king, saying: "This monk is a righteous person"
