The six entrances of wisdom have eight aspects. Second, what is accomplished through entering? It is the way of omniscience, because it is the accomplishment of learning and entering that all things possess reality. Third, what kind of action should be known to be done? It should be known that this is entering the Mahayana. Third, concerning the accumulation of merit: the essence of the accumulation of merit, entering the accumulation of merit, and the function of the accumulation of merit. First, among those who don armor, the magical transformations arising from maturation, which pacify the evil destinies of the ten directions, are like illusions, which is love; holding the Dharma nature of illusion, abiding in the six perfections, and causing others to abide in them as well, like illusions, are the six perfections such as generosity; abiding with a single-pointed mind possessing omniscience, holding the Dharma nature of illusion, and causing sentient beings of the ten directions to abide in generosity and so on, like illusions, is quiescence (śamatha); the form, etc., of the complete accomplishment of the Dharma nature of illusion, the wisdom of emptiness of the form, etc., of the nature of conceptual imputation is insight (vipaśyanā), together with this; the wisdom that sees the form, etc., of the complete accomplishment without being bound or liberated is the path of the union of skillful means and wisdom of quiescence and insight. Abiding in the six perfections and causing others to abide as well, in the manner of focusing on it, is skillful means; 'wisdom and' refers to emptinesses such as inner emptiness, showing that the profundity of emptiness is not self-empty but other-empty, and so on. 'Merit and' refers to concentrations (ting nge 'dzin) such as Dpa' bar 'gro ba. 'Path and' refers to the fifteen aspects of the path, namely the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment and the three doors of liberation, and so on. 'Gzung and' refers to that which holds, therefore it is dhāraṇī. Among them, the dhāraṇī that becomes the cause for obtaining patience, as well as the dhāraṇī of secret mantras, the dhāraṇī of Dharma, and the dhāraṇī of meaning. Second, showing the nature of entering the accumulation of merit: with the ten completely purifying Dharmas, one will attain the first bhūmi; with the mind possessing omniscience, accomplishing all virtuous deeds, because there is no attachment to superior merit, it is the complete purification of beneficial things; with the mind possessing omniscience, accomplishing the four immeasurables, because there is no attachment to sentient beings, it is the complete purification of equanimity towards sentient beings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perfecting generosity without discrimination towards oneself and all sentient beings, relying on spiritual friends to encourage and abide in omniscience, seeking Dharma with a mind endowed with omniscience, and not falling into the realms of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, because all dharmas are unattainable. Diligently practicing the search for the supreme Dharma, and upon seeing the Buddha's body, remembering the Buddha and not separating until omniscience is attained, because the signs and marks of the Buddha are unattainable. Diligently cultivating joy in the Buddha's body, and accurately teaching the twelve divisions of scripture to sentient beings, because the distinctions of Dharma are unattainable. Diligently practicing teaching the Dharma, acting as one speaks, because words are unattainable. Diligently practicing truthful speech is considered the tenth. Know that these should also be practiced in a way that their inherent nature is unattainable, a method that is universally applicable. The complete practice of the second ground is: not remembering the minds of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, not remembering the precepts and the dharmas that obstruct Bodhi, this is the complete purification of precepts. When a Bodhisattva practices, even a small act of virtue will not be in vain, let alone a great one, this is creating virtue. Having no intention to harm all sentient beings, this is patience. Maturing sentient beings with the three vehicles, this is joy and great joy. Completely protecting all sentient beings, this is not abandoning sentient beings. For the sake of each sentient being, even enduring suffering for countless kalpas, rejoicing and not tiring for all sentient beings, this is great compassion. Generating the perception of the Guru as the Buddha, this is respecting the Guru. In order to mature all sentient beings, not doing other things, completely practicing the pāramitās, this is the eighth, which is diligence in generosity and so on. The third ground is practiced in five ways: Vowing to uphold all that the Buddhas of the ten directions have spoken, never being satisfied, this is never being tired of hearing the Dharma. Even when teaching the Dharma, offering the merit of Dharma-giving, even without expecting Bodhi, this is unattached Dharma-giving. Practicing the virtues that purify the minds of oneself and others, this is completely purifying all Buddha-fields. When practicing the Bodhisattva conduct, never tiring until omniscience is perfected. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
