Such diligence is called diligence in Prajnaparamita. Connecting to the Dharma Jewel with 'etc.', such as forms and other dharmas, arising and holding, permanence and impermanence, pleasure and pain, self and no-self, peace and non-peace, emptiness and non-emptiness, signs and no-signs, wishes and no-wishes, birth and cessation, and the three times, etc. Diligence without such connection is called diligence in Prajnaparamita. Fourth, the instructions on the cause of perfect accomplishment are fourfold: diligence as the cause of abandoning the unfavorable conditions for practice; the five eyes as the cause of not relying on others for practice; the six superknowledges as the cause of perfecting all the qualities of practice; and instructions on the path as the cause of ultimate practice. First, regarding the three types of diligence: The instruction on non-attachment is: Here, attachment to body, speech, and mind, and aiming at them, is a bad place for a Bodhisattva. Not being attached to body, etc., abandoning the mind of Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and abiding in compassion for sentient beings at all times, such 'purification of bad places' is the instruction on non-attachment to body, etc. The instruction on non-weariness is: To act with an arrogant mind that clings to the perception of all dharmas is to become weary and exhausted; not to act in this way is to be invincible and tireless. This is the instruction on non-weariness. The instruction on fully grasping the path is: The wisdom of the eighth Bhumi also includes the abandonment and realization of the lower vehicles, so possessing this wisdom is to fully grasp the path of all vehicles. Possessing this wisdom, one does not cling to all faults such as the evil realms. This is the instruction on fully grasping the path. Second, relying on the four limbs of miraculous power based on self-conditions, one can see objects, which is its characteristic. It is called the eye because it observes and clarifies objects. In the 'Subduing Harm' it is said: 'The consciousness that enters all forms is the flesh eye. The consciousness that knows all samadhis and absorptions is the divine eye. The wisdom that knows all is the wisdom eye. The nine knowledges that understand what is and is not the case are the Dharma eye. The wisdom of diamond-like samadhi is the Buddha eye.' The method of instruction is: Thus, Bodhisattvas should strive for the six paramitas that purify and attain the five eyes. This is the instruction. Third, divided into three: cause, essence, and result. First, as stated in the 'Ornament of the Sutras': 'Having attained the extremely pure fourth dhyana...' etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Secondly, the awareness that arises from relying on self-generation Samadhi, where the object becomes manifest, is generally the characteristic of direct perception. In particular, showing various magical displays of miracles, hearing various sounds, engaging with the minds of sentient beings, remembering past lives, knowing the death and rebirth of others, and knowing the means of liberation from rebirth, these are placed in the context of objects, and are the characteristics of the six qualities of direct perception. Knowing through the manner in which the object appears first is direct perception, and because actions are unimpeded at all times and places, it is power. All of these are perfected by conventional awareness and are pure because they are not observed in ultimate reality, thus these two are explained. Fourth, there are two instructions on the path that causes the completion of accomplishment. The first is the instruction on the path of seeing: Since all phenomena are merely sound, one should train in applying names and labels to forms, etc. Since sentient beings are completely non-existent and unobservable, forms, etc., do not change for Bodhisattvas; thus, one should train in Prajnaparamita. Since forms, etc., are without support and unobservable, Bodhisattvas do not change into the jargon of forms, etc.; thus, one should train in Prajnaparamita. This is the instruction. The second is the instruction on the path of meditation: Since all phenomena are unobservable and unseen, one should not fixate on all phenomena; thus, one should train in Prajnaparamita. Thus, the instruction is given through the unobservability of all phenomena. Secondly, the specific explanation of the Sangha of the Lesser Vehicle: In order for individuals who study the two lower vehicles to easily understand the reasons for being led to peace by the omniscient, which appear in the three parts of the sutra, the beginning, middle, and end, the treatises have gathered them together in one place. What are the twenty Sanghas of the Lesser Vehicle? They are the dull faculties and the sharp faculties, these two. On top of that is the intermediate, which is passing beyond sorrow. On top of that are those who are inclined by faith and those who are attained by sight, these two, making four. On top of that are those who are born from the realm of gods to the realm of gods, and those who are born from the realm of humans to the realm of humans, making six. On top of that is one life with one interruption, making seven. On top of that are those who pass beyond sorrow in the intermediate state, those who pass away after being born, those who pass away with manifest effort, and those who pass away without manifest effort, these four, making eleven. On top of that is the one who goes to Akanistha, making twelve. On top of that is the leaping --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
