And because it is inexhaustible. Sixth, the Pāramitā of Morality (Śīla-pāramitā) is like a jewel to Bodhi (enlightenment), because meritorious jewels arise from it. Seventh, the Pāramitā of Patience (Kṣānti-pāramitā) is like the ocean, because it is not disturbed by all the arising of ease and comfort. Eighth, Diligence is like a vajra (diamond scepter), because it is solid in its indestructibility. Ninth, Dhyāna (meditation) is like the king of mountains, because it is not moved by distraction. Tenth, the Prajñā-pāramitā (Perfection of Wisdom) is like the king of medicines, because it thoroughly pacifies the disease of the two obscurations (klesha and jneya). Eleventh, the Four Immeasurables (loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity) are like a spiritual friend, because they never abandon all sentient beings in all circumstances. Twelfth, the Five Abhijñās (supernormal knowledges) are like a wish-fulfilling jewel, because one is enriched by its fruits according to one's aspirations. Thirteenth, the Four Means of Gathering (giving, kind speech, beneficial action, and consistency) are like the sun, because they fully ripen the crops of those to be tamed. Fourteenth, the Fourfold Perfect Discriminations are like the sweet song of a Gandharva (a celestial musician), because they teach the Dharma that tames those to be tamed. Fifteenth, the Four Equanimities are like a Chakravartin (wheel-turning monarch), because they are a cause that is not wasted. Sixteenth, the Two Accumulations (of merit and wisdom) are like a treasury, because they are the place of a vast store of merit and wisdom. Seventeenth, the Dharmas of the Aspects of Enlightenment are like a great path, because all noble beings have gone and followed after it. Eighteenth, Śamatha (calm abiding) and Vipaśyanā (insight) are like a vehicle, because they are easily carried. Nineteenth, the Dhāraṇī (retention) that holds the meaning of the Dharma and the fearlessness to show it to others are like the water of a cloud, because, like a cloud that pours out water inexhaustibly, they hold the meaning of the Dharma, whether heard or unheard, and pour it out inexhaustibly. Twentieth, the Four Seals of Dharma are like a delightful musical instrument, because they cause those to be tamed who desire liberation to hear delightful sounds. Twenty-first, the One Vehicle Path is like the continuation of a river, because when one obtains forbearance in the Dharma of Non-Arising, it arises spontaneously. The so-called One Vehicle Path is because the actions performed by the Bodhisattvas belonging to that ground are not different. Twenty-second, Skillful Means are like a cloud, because how the world prospers... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as everything arises from the clouds, residing in the Tushita heaven and so on, by means of showing, all the meanings and functions of these depend on him. Second, receiving the purifying instructions. Second, receiving the purifying instructions, including the general exposition of the ten instructions and the specific explanation of the Hinayana Sangha. The first part has four points: the nature of practice itself, the four noble truths as the object of focus, the three jewels as the support, and the instructions on the cause of perfect practice. The first part includes: the nature of practice being shown as non-conceptual wisdom, and combining this wisdom with the Sutras as a method to counteract the ten conceptual thoughts. First, the nature of practice is the non-conceptual yoga of the profound Prajnaparamita. The second is, as stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: 'The sons of the Victorious Ones, with regard to non-existence and existence...' Therefore, non-conceptual yoga is the practice that counteracts these ten conceptual thoughts. Furthermore, the words that show the antidotes are also instructions on practice. The second part, regarding the instructions on the four noble truths as the object of focus, has four points. First, the instruction on the truth of suffering is: if one diligently focuses on the emptiness of the seven dharmas—the aggregates, elements, sources, noble truths, dependent origination, conditioned and unconditioned—that is diligence in Prajnaparamita. The instruction on the truth of origin is: to see the nature of forms and so on as arising, ceasing, being defiled, and being purified. Why? Because their nature is emptiness. These are similar statements. The instruction on the truth of cessation is: for the profound truth of cessation of self-nature emptiness, there is no dharma that is examined by arising and ceasing, and forms and so on, up to enlightenment. This is the statement that shows this meaning. Here, the words 'enlightenment' and 'Buddha' and so on, should be understood as preventing the dharmas that are examined by conceptual thoughts, and not as negating the Buddha, enlightenment, and dharmadhatu of the nature. The instruction on the truth of the path is: to diligently focus on forms and so on. Not focusing, is not seeing. Therefore, a Bodhisattva diligently focusing on Prajnaparamita in this way, should be understood as diligence. Third, the instruction on the three jewels as the support is: harming the Buddha jewel is, not truly seeing the three times, not combining omniscience with the three times, and not truly seeing forms and so on, not combining forms and so on with omniscience. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
