When acting, giving alms and so forth, as well as meditating on wisdom, all are done in common with all sentient beings, and the wisdom of dedicating to perfect enlightenment in a non-attached manner. Thus, understanding the very nature of the path, the path of seeing has sixteen moments, with great benefits in this life and ultimately, which corresponds to having a decisive aspect and being consistent beforehand. From this, one attains the first transcendental wisdom, free from the duality of grasper and grasped, and non-conceptual. Secondly, there is the activity of the path of meditation and the path of meditation with activity. Firstly, like this, the Bodhisattva of the Perfection of Wisdom is peaceful and gentle, humble to others in all ways and at all times, without arrogance or pride, overcomes habitual tendencies and other afflictions, is not harmed by poisons and weapons, etc., and is able to attain enlightenment. When the path of meditating on the Perfection of Wisdom is completely perfected, residing at the Vajra Seat, that place which is the cause of becoming a Buddha, becomes a stupa for all sentient beings, and is offered flowers and so forth. Secondly, there are five: faith, dedication, rejoicing, practice, and the extremely pure path of meditation. Firstly, the meaning of these is: like this, faith in one's own benefit, as well as the benefit of oneself and others, should be known as three benefits, and each of these three is further divided into small, medium, and large, each with three forms. These small ones are further divided into small of the small, medium of the small, up to large of the large, by distinguishing small, etc., each also has three forms. Thus, there are nine benefits for oneself, nine benefits for both, and nine benefits for others, totaling twenty-seven. The nine stages of faith for one's own benefit are the nine praises to the Perfection of Wisdom; the nine stages of faith for the benefit of both are the nine respects to the Perfection of Wisdom; the nine stages of faith for the benefit of others are the nine exclamations to the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus, there are nine praises, nine respects, and nine exclamations to the Perfection of Wisdom, which have been spoken and shown. Secondly, the dedication of the Great Vehicle, what is the nature of dedication? Who is the author? What is the aspect? What is the characteristic? What is the way of dedication that is non-toxic and becomes the supreme nectar? What is the way of transcending the three realms? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What are the classifications of generating great merit? The first is the nature of dedication, dedicating through the three characteristics of hearing and self-realization. This is the special feature of complete dedication, for the sake of all sentient beings' liberation from suffering, in a non-referential manner, dedicating to unsurpassed Bodhi, which is particularly excellent. The second is that the supreme function of dedication is that it enables one to attain Buddhahood. The third is that dedication is non-referential in nature. The fourth is that right understanding, mindfulness, and correct views are the characteristics of dedication. The fifth is that if the merit of dedication is understood as the emptiness that is separate from all phenomena, and the accumulation of merit of the Buddhas who have passed into Nirvana is completely dedicated, just like those Buddhas, remembering their accumulation of virtue and the nature of Nirvana, then the mind of dedication should also know the way to Nirvana, relying on the Prajnaparamita, being skilled in the means of not contradicting the signless and dedication, and the virtue of dedication is non-referential and without characteristics. Just as the Buddhas realized their own nature, so too is the dedication, which is the way of dedicating by rejoicing in the virtues of the Buddhas. The sixth is that all phenomena such as form, other than the three realms and three times, are without inherent existence, therefore they are non-existent. Because they are non-existent, they cannot be dedicated in a referential manner. If this is understood, then dedication becomes non-toxic and transforms into nectar, which is the way of transcending the three realms. The seventh is that if the special dedication is divided into three types: small, medium, and large, then the way to generate great merit is: dedicating the ten virtuous actions, meditations, etc., of all sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand worlds with non-attachment, which is the nature of generating great merit, is a small dedication; if all sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand worlds become Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, and someone offers each of these holy beings the four requisites of clothing, food, bedding, and medicine up to the edge of the ocean, this is the nature of generating great merit, which is a medium dedication; if all sentient beings in the three thousand great thousand worlds become Bodhisattvas, and the four requisites are offered to each Bodhisattva of all sentient beings in the ten directions, this is also the nature of generating great merit, which is a large dedication. Through the small, medium, and large dedications, the nature is divided into three types, these three excellent ways of dedication are... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
