Because it is not mundane, it is the light of self-nature. The light of the gods (deva) is achieved by past karma and is of a false nature. The path of a Bodhisattva (bodhisattva), becoming a vessel capable of understanding Prajnaparamita (prajnaparamita), its object of focus is definitely the generation of the unsurpassed Bodhicitta (anuttara-samyak-sambodhi-citta). Understanding the path itself encompasses the merits of the three vehicles (triyana), therefore it pervades all three vehicles. The nature of the essence of understanding the path is: 'Afflictions (klesha), signs, and characteristics,' etc., whatever is said to be the characteristic of the essence, at this time, also from the stage of intentional practice, gradually reveals the stages of the Path of Seeing (darshana-marga) and the Path of Cultivation (bhavana-marga). The function of understanding the path is: 'Benefit, happiness, and protection,' etc., whatever is said to be the characteristic of the function, is to accomplish the benefit of the world. The second part is divided into three categories: the path of the Shravaka (shravaka), the path of the Pratyekabuddha (pratyekabuddha), and the path of the Bodhisattva. The first part is divided into two categories: the result, the nature of understanding the path; the cause, the favorable qualities of the preparatory stage (nirvedha-bhagiya). The first category is that in order to be proficient in the paths of the three vehicles, one must also understand the paths of the lesser vehicle, through the preliminary practice (prayoga) of generating Bodhicitta, with wisdom (prajna) that does not cling to anything as the main body, and the subsequent practice (prstha) of dedicating to Bodhi, to understand the excellence of the paths of the Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha. That is to say, the nature of the Bodhisattva's understanding of the path includes understanding the forms of the Four Noble Truths (arya-satya) in a way that does not cling to phenomena, thereby understanding the path of the Shravaka. The second category is that the path of the Shravaka is encompassed by the Bodhisattva's understanding of the path because form (rupa) and so on are empty. The emptiness from form to the Bodhisattva is non-dual and indivisible, which indicates that emptiness is undifferentiated. Saying this shows the stage of warmth (ushmagata). The imputed form, etc., does not exist in the nature of form, etc., and the wisdom in which their emptiness resides in the same Dharmadhatu (dharmadhatu) is the stage of warmth. Showing non-attachment to form, etc., shows the peak stage (murdhan). This itself is the wisdom that abides in Suchness (tathata) in a way that does not cling to the form of things. By preventing abiding in form, etc., in ways such as permanence, the lesser, medium, and greater stages of forbearance (kshanti) are shown. This itself... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That is the wisdom that abides in the state of being fully accomplished in a manner that does not dwell on the nature of permanence, etc. Starting with earth, water, etc., the non-abiding is extensively shown in a manner of non-fixation. What is being spoken of is that which is the supreme Dharma. That itself, in a manner of not conceptually grasping its essence, is the wisdom that abides in the very realm of Dharma. If a Bodhisattva who trains in conduct without object of fixation cannot abide in anything in a manner of fixation, why is that? Because realizing how the state of all knowable things is, is the complete and perfect enlightenment of the Buddha, who expresses it, having understood and known in his heart, since the dharmas that can abide in a manner of fixation are not established in their nature, therefore he does not see them as such. Secondly, understanding the path of self-arisen wisdom is deeper than that of the Shravakas. That is the concise summary of the Bodhisattva path. The first part has two sections: the actual topic and the proof of it. The first is: although the teacher and the listener, etc., appear in wisdom, since those things do not exist, no one teaches, listens, hears, or knows. Therefore, in the last existence, the self-born one, without a teacher, due to the power of previous habits, realizes in the manner that the teacher, etc., appear in wisdom, like apparitions and dreams. Therefore, having obtained the body of the last existence, when actualizing Arhatship, one does not need another teacher to teach the Dharma, including Arhatship, but realizes it oneself. Therefore, the wisdom like a rhinoceros horn is said to be and shown to be deeper than the wisdom that relies on the verbal conditions of another Shravaka teacher. In that, whatever the meaning of the Dharma is, such as mindfulness, etc., like a dream, whatever the person who appears as the teacher, how does he regard the person of the listener? For that person who appears as the teacher, even though there is no actual sound of teaching that Dharma meaning, the appearance of teaching and listening is understood in the manner that it appears in wisdom, like an illusory person and an emanation. Because it is said that even without sound, it appears that way. The second part is: Therefore, since the direct realization of external objects is without inherent existence, thereby abandoning the realization of the object of grasping, and even though there is no grasping that grasps the external object as something to be grasped. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
