He was also knowledgeable and diligent in studying the new teachings, and relied on meditation to travel to many secluded places. Because of his extensive learning, he had a slight arrogance. At that time, he thought: "Now in Lato Dingri (Tibetan place name), there is an Acharya (Sanskrit: आचार्य, ācārya, meaning: teacher) called Dampa Indian (Tibetan), who is said to be deceiving many sentient beings. I must go and see what is happening." So he set off and met the Venerable Dampa, who was intently looking at a scripture. Kyoton (Tibetan) thought: "This is the one." So he went forward. Dampa looked at him intently and said: "Geshe (Sanskrit: कल्याणमित्र, kalyāṇamitra, meaning: spiritual friend), you are very arrogant. What Dharma do you know?" Then Kyoton (Tibetan) humbly explained the general principles and views of the Dharma. Dampa said: "Your understanding has deviated from the true essence of the Dharma. The true definition of Dharma is not outside your own mind. That is, recognizing your own mind as Buddha and meditating, this is the first. The arising of cause and effect, this is the second. Arranging the arising of interdependence for the benefit of others, this is the third. What is the ultimate result, this is the fourth. These are what you must understand yourself." Hearing these words, he let go of his arrogance and said: "Venerable Dampa, compassionate one, please give me teachings." The Venerable Dampa, seeing him as a suitable vessel, taught him many Dharmas, especially guiding him to practice the Prajnaparamita (Sanskrit: प्रज्ञापारमिता, prajñāpāramitā, meaning: perfection of wisdom), and fully imparted it. Finally, the Venerable Dampa made him realize that samsara and nirvana are all mind, and that mind is Buddha. He was liberated immediately, abandoning all offerings, and carrying only a single piece of monastic robe, a kapala bowl (Sanskrit: कर्पर, karpara, meaning: skull cup), and a book of instructions, he traveled everywhere in secluded places, practicing the yoga of equal taste. Later, he came down from the snow mountain of E (Tibetan place name) and met Machig Labdrön (Tibetan). Seeing Machig Labdrön (Tibetan) as a worthy vessel, he imparted all the instructions to Machig Labdrön (Tibetan). Machig Labdrön (Tibetan) is an incarnation of Prajnaparamita, prophesied in many sutras and tantras. This can be divided into two aspects: one is to manifest a transcendent incarnation, and the other is to manifest a worldly appearance in accordance with the beings to be tamed. First, in general, a Buddha has two bodies, the Dharmakaya and the Rupakaya. The Dharmakaya pervades all sentient beings and is the Dharmakaya of sentient beings.
