When that ceases, the craving that desires to abandon or take sensations ceases. When that ceases, the clinging to desirable objects such as forms and sounds, the clinging to bad vows and asceticism associated with wrong views other than the view of annihilation, the clinging to desire that aspires to and is attached to the view of the perishable aggregate, and the clinging to the four aspects of the object of claiming self all cease. When that ceases, the existence that places the ability to take rebirth in the future, because the previous actions have imbued the consciousness with karmic imprints and have been nourished by craving, ceases. When that ceases, birth, which is included in the four birth places, ceases. When that ceases, aging, in which the aggregates mature and change, and death, in which the aggregates are abandoned, cease. When that ceases, inner grief and lamentation, suffering that harms the body, discomfort that harms the mind, and all the delusions of afflictions will cease. Thus, as long as the misapprehension of the aggregates as true is not reversed, the view of annihilation will not be reversed, so realizing the aggregates as untrue is the sacred path to liberation. In short, by seeing the object grasped by self-grasping as selfless, the root of existence, ignorance, will be cut off. Again, in the assembly, the son asked, "Having known one's own face by oneself, in order to turn away from the cycle of existence, one should know the causes, conditions, and dependent origination as they are." The mother replied, "The cause is self-awareness, the mind of enlightenment, which pervades all sentient beings like oil pervading sesame seeds. The condition is a virtuous friend." Therefore, the cause, the essence of the Sugata, which is inherently present, is awakened by the condition, the virtuous friend, and produces the result. Therefore, in that very text, it is said, "The dharmas of cyclic existence and nirvana arise from the collection of causes, conditions, and dependent origination. If causes, conditions, and dependent origination are not complete, no result can be produced. For example, iron ore is like fire." Since the one mother herself taught all the dharmas from the perspective of dependent origination, she is known as the great yogini of dependent origination. Therefore, followers should also become skilled in dependent origination. The key points of karma and cause and effect will be explained below. Fifth, the truth of suffering. The cause is the origin, the five poisons of affliction, and the result is the suffering of each of the places of the three realms and six classes of beings.

Constantly tormented and distressed while wandering in the cycle of existence is also due to the power of craving and ignorance of existence, being thrown into the six realms of existence. The Tathagatagarbha is completely aroused by the adventitious defilements, the afflictions produced by the conceptual thoughts of attention, creating contaminated karma, thereby forming the aggregates and sources of suffering. Virtuous actions lead to happy realms. Thus, until the clinging to the truth of the aggregates is eliminated, the view of the destructible aggregate will not disappear. Therefore, realizing the aggregates as without inherent existence is the supreme path of liberation. In short, because the object grasped by self-grasping is seen as emptiness, it is possible to cut off the root of samsara—ignorance. Also, in the Collection Sutra, the prince asked: After recognizing one's own nature, how can one be liberated from the laws of samsara? Please explain the principle of dependent origination as it is. The mother replied: The cause is self-awareness, the mind of enlightenment, like sesame seeds pervading oil, pervading the minds of all sentient beings. The condition is a virtuous friend. Therefore, the cause is the Tathagatagarbha, inherently complete, and the condition is the awakening by a virtuous friend, thereby producing the result. Therefore, it is said in the sutra: The dharmas of samsara and nirvana arise from the assembly of causes and conditions. If causes and conditions are lacking, no result can arise. For example, iron ore needs fire to be refined. Machig Labdrön herself taught all dharmas through dependent origination, therefore she is known as the great yogini of dependent origination. Therefore, followers should also be proficient in dependent origination. The key points of karma and cause and effect will be explained below. The fifth is the truth of suffering. The cause is the origin of suffering, the five poisons of affliction. The result is the suffering of each of the three realms and six realms, constantly tormented and distressed while wandering in the cycle of existence, also due to the power of craving and ignorance of existence, being thrown into the six realms of existence. The Tathagatagarbha is completely aroused by the adventitious defilements, the afflictions produced by the conceptual thoughts of attention, creating contaminated karma, thereby forming the aggregates and sources of suffering. Virtuous actions lead to happy realms, and non-virtuous actions lead to the formation of aggregates of suffering in bad realms. Therefore, one should be proficient in the classification of karma of dependent origination as explained earlier.
