is the key to opening the egg king. As it says, "In suchness, suchness cannot be found." Thus, there are twenty-one kings. Gather all the essential instructions onto one cushion. Profound Chö practice instructions, Emaho! That is, with attachment and without attachment, joy and fear, and doubt, all four maras must be severed. Twenty-one kings, thirteen chapters. Then, the three categories of essential instructions are taught: the categories of view, meditation, and action; the categories of experiential key points; and the categories of wisdom and means. First, there are four: At the time of view, do not meditate on emptiness with the mind. Means and wisdom, the union of appearance and emptiness, liberation is crucial. At the time of meditation, do not imprison awareness. Abiding in a state of non-remembrance and non-distraction is crucial. At the time of action, do not be attached, do not be biased towards any side. Unattached, self-liberated awareness is crucial. At the time of fruition, spontaneous accomplishment, do not be indulgent. Realization that is rootless and beyond mind is crucial. The second is also divided into six: Awareness self-liberation is the key point of view. When afflictions arise forcefully, it is the key point of meditation. When appearances self-liberate, it is the key point of action. When wisdom is poured out completely, it is the key point of fruition. When means and wisdom self-liberate, it is the key point of essential instructions. When words are connected with meaning, it is the key point of wisdom. The third category of wisdom and means has four: The wisdom of listening is like drinking water when thirsty. The wisdom of contemplation is like detoxifying food. The wisdom of meditation is like a ship in the ocean. The ultimate wisdom is said to be like a precious jewel. It is crucial that all of these are grasped by means. The fourteenth chapter of the three categories of meaning. The essential instructions of secret meaning also have three: First, the preliminary instructions; second, the actual practice instructions; and third, the subsequent practice instructions. First, meditate on refuge, bodhicitta, and the four immeasurables. Second, sit in vajra posture on a comfortable cushion. Keep the back straight, and press the ground with both hands. Relax the three doors, and look at the tip of the nose. Do not be artificial, do not be contrived, remain in a natural state. Do not let the body be controlled by fatigue. Keep speech in a state of non-speaking. Keep the mind in a state of non-thinking and non-remembrance. Do not let the senses cling to any object. That is to say, the mind of the perfectly enlightened Buddha does not cling to anything, abiding in whatever place.

It is not. Thus spoke (the Buddha). Moreover, within the subdivisions, there are also six aspects: not establishing a support, not scattering awareness, not meditating on anything, abiding in one's own nature, abiding in original purity, original emptiness, original Buddhahood. First, not fixating on any object; all appearances of the six aggregates' objects, and even the practice itself, are free from the five aggregates. Furthermore, Subhuti! Because one does not focus on form, one does not focus on all aspects. When one does not focus on (all aspects), the Bodhisattva's roots of virtue will increase, and the six perfections will be completely fulfilled. Having been completely fulfilled, one will manifest complete enlightenment into unsurpassed, perfectly complete Buddhahood. Thus spoke (the Buddha). Second, not establishing a support on anything; realizing that Dharma-nature and the ground are non-dual, originally enlightened. Not hoping for Buddhahood, not doubting samsara, not seeking the place and lineage of the six types of beings, not establishing a support on the field of the three Kayas of the result. Furthermore, like the Bodhisattva not fixating on the past extreme, not fixating on the future extreme, not fixating on the middle, and so on. Thus, having practiced, realizing the self-liberation of samsara and nirvana. Third, not scattering awareness on anything; for any appearance of samsara and nirvana, not engaging in attraction or repulsion, transcending the realm of conceptualization. Because there is no conceptualization of objects, abiding in equanimity, therefore, not scattering awareness on anything, one practices. Furthermore, like all dharmas being without elaboration, the Prajnaparamita is without elaboration. Thus spoke (the Buddha). Fourth, because not meditating on anything, for the object taken by the mind, or being separated from the Dharma of self-grasping characteristics, not examining anything, not meditating, one practices. Furthermore, like the Prajnaparamita not meditating on anything anywhere, not practicing anything. Thus spoke (the Buddha). Fifth, original emptiness, original vastness, abiding in one's own nature; mind itself merely abiding in reality, not establishing a support. Originally pure, the essence is emptiness, originally free from the defilement of afflictions, complete with qualities, having known that one is originally enlightened. Furthermore, as it is said: In that, there is no birth, there is no non-birth, there are no complete afflictions, there is no purification. Thus spoke (the Buddha). Exhausting the mind, exhausting the Dharma, sending it to the ground. Third, afterwards, taking (what was said above) into the path, is the meaning of practicing the meaning of the mind above, the four activities of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down are without difference.
