Therefore, just lie down in that state. The practice of the seventh night is: First, when going to a dangerous place, one should go in four ways. These four ways are: the body should be like a corpse, the dangerous place should be like a cemetery, (oneself) should be like a ghost or jackal, and think in your heart: whoever wants this tattered corpse, let them take it! Think like this and go. Second, entrust the conceptual thoughts to the "A" (seed syllable, Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: A, Chinese literal meaning: unborn). It means that if you cannot go to the dangerous place at first, cannot lie down in the middle, and finally cannot offer your own body, etc., then let the pain explode for what you cannot do; if you are afraid, let the fear explode; if you are timid, lie down timidly, so that you can cut off the mind of awareness, be liberated from the shackles of self-grasping, destroy the false cave of fear, and let the feelings of timidity and fear surround you and go. For example, like a horse or donkey, or a dzo or yak, if they are unwilling to walk on a bridge or an extremely narrow road, force them to walk over it, so that they can pass without hesitation in the future. Third, take the self-grasping out of the object. It means, where are those who feel pain, those who feel ashamed, those who cannot do it, those who dare not do it, etc.? What is their essence? Observe carefully, and then simply use awareness, like an old woman pointing (at the target), thoroughly investigate its roots. By doing this, self-grasping will disappear helplessly and become unreal, therefore, just lie down in that state. After arriving, the practice is: in view, there is no self-grasping; in practice, there is no mental fabrication; in behavior, there is no acceptance or rejection; in vows, there are no boundaries to protect; in result, there is nothing to be achieved. Among these five, the first is the view: because there is no permanence or annihilation, no arising or ceasing, no beginning or end, therefore, do not cling to beneficial deities and make offerings, nor expect accomplishments; do not regard them as harmful ghosts and drive them away, nor worry about what will happen in the future, but abide in a state without any acceptance, rejection, expectation, or worry. The second is practice: it is emptiness from the beginning, and the three spheres are naturally empty, liberated, and pure.
