Even if appearances like magical illusions arise, determine that all of them are originally the manifestations of the great freedom from elaboration of one's own mind, just like the terrifying appearances of illusions and dreams. For all the gods and demons of appearance and existence who have not realized this, temporarily fulfill their wishes with offerings of flesh, blood, life, and breath, and ultimately liberate their continuums with the profound and vast Dharma of the two truths, ultimate and conventional. Thinking in this way, perform the offering and giving of the body as before, and then alternately rest the mind in non-arising. Among these, initially, when the experience is strong, perform only the fierce severance practice and the red offering with great compassion, and alternately rest the mind in the vastness of the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. When a certain level is reached, perform only the peaceful severance practice and the white offering. If confusion and bewilderment arise, then perform the variegated offering and expulsion, and the black offering of atonement. These are the key instructions for practice. For all of these, it is essential to seal them with a dedication that is free from attachment and clinging. Whether it is the fearlessness of Dharma or worldly matters, in short, for any accumulation of merit, it is necessary to seal it with dedication, because through dedication it can be increased and purified. Among these, there are two types: increasing and purifying. The first is, for example, if a drop of water falls into the great ocean, it will ultimately not be exhausted in the bardo until the end of the kalpa. Similarly, if one dedicates the root of virtue to Bodhi, then the root of virtue will not be exhausted until Bodhi is attained. The second is that it must be sealed with emptiness and compassion. If giving is sealed with emptiness, it will not become a cause of samsara, and if it is sealed with compassion, it will not become a cause of the lesser vehicle, but will only become a cause of Nirvana and great Bodhi. This is called purification. Among these, there are also four ways to seal with emptiness, namely, sealing with the emptiness of the inner body, sealing with the emptiness of external enjoyment, sealing with the emptiness of one's own mind in relation to objects, and sealing with the emptiness of the result, the Dharma of Bodhi. These four are the practice of sealing giving with the four emptinesses. Sealing with compassion means thinking about the causes and effects of the suffering of samsara, both general and specific, for all sentient beings of the six realms, especially for the gods and demons who harm and afflict oneself, and thereby engaging in the activity of giving and accumulating merit. There are also two benefits, namely, realizing the truth of the first ground,

Quickly unsurpassed. Attaining perfect and complete enlightenment, and also temporarily increasing and perfecting retinues and resources, and being able to gather all sentient beings, with or without form, into retinues through generosity, and establishing them in enlightenment. Therefore, it is indispensable to ensure that all of these are included with dedication that is free from attachment and focus. In short, for any accumulation of merit from cause and effect, such as Dharma, material possessions, and fearlessness, it is necessary to seal it with dedication. There are two aspects to this: increasing and purifying. The first is like a drop of water falling into the great ocean, which will ultimately not be exhausted in the bardo until the end of the kalpa. Similarly, if the root of virtue is dedicated to enlightenment, the root of virtue will not be exhausted until enlightenment is attained. The second is that it must be accompanied by emptiness and compassion. If generosity is accompanied by emptiness, it will not become a cause of samsara. If it is accompanied by compassion, it will not become a cause of the lesser vehicle, but only a cause for going to nirvana, the great enlightenment, which is called purification. Furthermore, there are four ways to be accompanied by emptiness: sealing with the emptiness of the inner body, sealing with the emptiness of outer resources, sealing with the emptiness of one's own mind in objects, and sealing with the emptiness of the resultant Dharma, enlightenment. These four are the practice of sealing generosity with the four seals. Being accompanied by compassion means considering the causes and effects of suffering in general and in particular for the six types of sentient beings, especially for the gods and demons who harm and injure oneself, and then engaging in the virtuous act of generosity. There are also two benefits: seeing the truth of the first ground and quickly unsurpassed. Attaining perfect and complete enlightenment, and also temporarily increasing and perfecting retinues and resources, and being able to gather all sentient beings, with or without form, into retinues through generosity, and establishing them in enlightenment. Therefore, offering the body as generosity is the generosity of the conventional body, placing the gods and demons in the glory of happiness is the generosity of love, saving the gods and demons from the suffering of samsara is the generosity of fearlessness, and ultimately, all dharmas, etc., are the generosity of Dharma.
