I am bad. If you cannot eat, then you are also bad. Best of all, gods and demons, you take me to hell! In the middle, eat and drink tonight, and tomorrow morning let me not be able to get up! At worst, give me all kinds of diseases. Neither dead nor alive, in that state! Saying this in words and thinking it in mind, recite Phat (ཕཊ, Sanskrit: phaṭ, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, crushing), and make abundant red offerings. Let awareness be in empty clarity. In the state of non-attachment. If this arises in the continuum, then no disease, evil spirit, or obstacle can invade. Even a single species of god or demon cannot bear it and will come to prostrate respectfully. Or they will come to display miracles. Whatever happens, remain relaxed and at ease in a state of fearlessness and hesitation, dwelling on the meaning of the Mother. There will be no one to harm you. In general, whatever miracles and obstacles occur, it is more pleasing to say "Eat!" than to pray for a hundred protectors. It is more pleasing to let a thousand gods and demons eat their fill than to tie a hundred protectors together like mules. It is said that one "happily sick, happily dead, happily happy" is more pleasing than tying on a hundred protections. Some new Chö practitioners, when slight appearances and miracles occur, begin to block and suppress them. This is not understanding the temperature of Chö. There is no need to block and suppress as soon as they appear. The type of god or demon is most important, the manner of miracles is most important, and the timing of Chö is most important. It is said that if you encounter a fierce and violent god or demon, then you should do so. If they are gentle, then you do not need to do so. If the miracles are too great, then you should do so. If they are small, then you do not need to do so. If after the Chö is finished, nothing can be resolved, then you should do so. Do not do so from the beginning. Even if you practice in this way, if you do not generate qualities, then there are three ways to remove obstacles: upwards, pray to the lama to remove obstacles; downwards, cultivate compassion for sentient beings to remove obstacles; and in the middle, trample on adverse conditions to remove obstacles.

Therefore, no matter what happens, focus easily and freely on the meaning of "Prajnaparamita" with fearlessness and without hesitation, and no one who can harm will come. In general, no matter what magical powers and obstacles arise, pray for protection. It is better to have one out of a hundred that can be used than to have a hundred deities mixed together for protection. It is better to subdue a thousand demons than to have a hundred deities as guards. It is better to have one happy life, death, sickness, and joy than to have a hundred guards. This is what he said. Some new Chöd practitioners, when they experience some realms and magical powers, start to impose boundary restrictions and reverse suppression. This is because they do not understand the temperature of Chöd. As soon as it arises, one should not impose boundary restrictions and reverse suppression. The type of gods and demons is the main thing, the way of magical powers is the main thing, and the timing of Chöd is the main thing. This is what he said. If you encounter a powerful and fierce god or demon, you should act; if it is gentle, you do not need to act. If the magical power is too great, you should act; if it is small, you do not need to act. After Chöd is completed, if nothing can be resolved no matter what you do, you should act; you do not need to act from the beginning. If you practice like this and do not generate merit, then there are three ways to remove obstacles: upwards, pray to the Lama to remove obstacles; downwards, cultivate compassion for sentient beings to remove obstacles; and in the middle, trample on adverse conditions to remove obstacles. The first is that even if you strive to practice virtue, if merit does not arise in the continuum, it is a sign that the Lama's blessing has not been integrated. In order for the blessing to be integrated, you must pray to the Lama. In order to pray and generate devotion, you must remember kindness and merit. Thinking about merit refers to the Lama's physical form, the activities of speech, the wisdom of mind, and so on, which are equal to the Buddha, and the essence is the Buddha himself. The Buddha's activities are accomplished by the Lama. Even so, if you do not see the body adorned with marks and signs, and do not hear the language like the voice of Brahma, it is because our own obscurations have not been purified. For example, it is like a person with consumption eating sugar and tasting bitterness, or a person with an eye disease seeing a conch shell as yellow. The first is that even if you strive to practice virtue, if merit does not arise in the continuum, it is a sign that the Lama's blessing has not been integrated. In order for the blessing to be integrated, you must pray to the Lama. In order to pray and generate devotion, you must remember kindness and merit. Thinking about merit
