Do not engage in years or distractions for even a moment. Thus, having thoroughly examined common and specific illusions without error, and having distinguished them separately, strive to restrain them with pith instructions, just as they are explained in their respective contexts. For the most part, the view of emptiness overpowers them. Cut off the attachment of joy and mind to all good qualities. Whatever bad illusions arise, they arise from the mind, so cut off conceptual thoughts. Mix the very nature of mind with the expanse of uncontrived space. Thus it was said. In general, appearances and illusions are not only cut off, but also attain the qualities of the stages and paths. When the winds and mind are brought under control, inconceivable outer, inner, and secret appearances and illusions arise. For example, the appearance of the armies of demons to the Unequaled Powerful One, and the encounters of Lord Milarepa with gods and demons. For example, if you want to ignite a great fire, it is like a great smoke billowing forth from the beginning. Therefore, Má gÇig said that appearances on the path are the beginning of attaining supreme and common siddhis. However, do not have strong desires for the number of appearances and illusions, the degree of cutting off, etc., to come about, or be happy if they occur and unhappy if they do not. Even if thoughts of hope and doubt arise, do not follow them, but rest your own mind equally in the womb of the unborn mother. If it is not like that, the coarse roots of hope and doubt will make the actions of the three doors careless. This is a sign of not having confidence in the view, so rest equally in the expanse of reality itself. Thus, whatever form of illusion arises, the best yogi, possessing confidence in the view, is equal in taste without fear or apprehension. For a while, do not even make an offering of the body. The intermediate one, in the manner of clarifying the previously accustomed reality, examines whether the illusion arose from his own unborn mind? From where did it arise, from the outer and inner worlds of earth, stones, mountains, and rocks? What are the illusions of the mind, etc.? Finally, rest in the state of view. The lowest one combines the view with the previously existing experience, and practices by combining the offering of flesh and blood with compassion. In general, appearances and illusions are not only cut off, but also attain the qualities of the stages and paths, and the winds and mind

At the time of gathering, inconceivable manifestations and miraculous powers of outer, inner, and secret nature will also arise. For example, the Unsurpassed Lord Shakyamuni encountered the armies of Mara, and Jetsun Milarepa confronted gods and demons. It is like wanting to ignite a pile of abundant fire, where thick smoke billows out from the beginning. Machig Labdrön said that manifestations on the path are the beginning of attaining common and supreme accomplishments. However, one should not strongly desire the degree and extent of manifestations and miraculous powers, nor be happy when they occur and unhappy when they do not. Even if thoughts of hope and doubt arise, do not follow them, but rather rest the mind evenly in the expanse of the unborn mother of one's own mind. If not, the coarse roots of hope and doubt will make the activities of body, speech, and mind careless, which is a sign of lacking view. Therefore, one should rest evenly in the expanse of dharmata. Thus, no matter what kind of miraculous phenomena arise, the superior yogi, possessing the confidence of view, remains equanimous without fear or anxiety. For the time being, one should not even offer the body as a sacrifice. The intermediate yogi, in the manner of clarifying the previously accustomed dharmata, examines whether the miraculous phenomena arose from the unborn nature of one's own mind, or from where they arose—earth, stones, mountains, the environment, or beings—and what kind of mental phenomena they are, ultimately resting in the view. The inferior yogi combines the view with previous experiences, practicing the union of flesh and blood offerings and compassion. Thus, through the three methods of subduing and relying on the distinctions of the object of focus, when manifestations and miraculous powers of outer, inner, and secret nature arise. Secondly, the practice of the heap of tsok offerings: although the preliminary instructions have already been extensively explained in the "Essential Sun of Activities, Oral Instructions of the Dakinis," here, for the sake of easily extracting the essence and common daily practice, we will only briefly present the pith instructions of the ear-whispered lineage. After performing refuge, bodhicitta, guru yoga, etc., as in the preliminary stage, here we engage in the actual offering, which includes mandala, white offering, red offering, variegated offering, black offering, and leftovers. The first is to perform consciousness transference and the actual offering of the mandala. Thus, subduing.
