Sapas. The time is most excellent at night when it is dark. Even if you go during the day, you will not be afraid and it will not be exhausted. If you have a companion, you will not be afraid at any time, day or night. If you are not afraid, you will not develop qualities. It is meaningless to go to a dangerous place to cut. For example, it is like swinging a sword in the sky, there is no talk of cutting or not cutting. From dusk to midnight, dawn, sunrise, noon, and when the shadow of noon falls on the water, these six times are controlled as mentioned above. Recite, meditate, and proclaim the method of subduing power. At the beginning of all sessions, recite refuge and bodhicitta and the yoga of the guru according to their respective texts. Merge the guru with your own mind and focus on samadhi alone. Some people also make offerings of white and red clouds from the beginning, but in that way, there will be no order of increase and completion. It is like reconciling with dog food. In general, if the above and below countermeasures are done according to the guidance manual of the single seat made by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and his sons, the practice will be very easy and blessed. In short, until completion arises, if you only focus on emptiness and compassion, then all completion will arise from that. Aryadeva said: Take refuge in the Three Jewels. May the stars, hail, and raindrops be absorbed into purity. After such common refuge and so on have been completed in advance, then take uncommon refuge. In the Garland of Jewels it says: The third is taking refuge, the dharmakaya that is pure from the beginning, the unconditioned Buddha of true meaning, the dharma that is liberated in the realm of reality without separation, the sangha that perseveres without separation, to the supreme Three Jewels, without any thought of benefit or harm, take refuge from the depths of your heart. Reciting it three times is the word of the saints. Also, in the Mother Tantra it says: Whatever is without memory and without intention in the mind is the recollection of the Buddha. This is also explained for the Dharma and the Sangha. In the Profound Meaning it says: When determining the nature of reality, there are many harms from conceptual thought. In the face of the realm of knowable objects, various kinds of memories and discriminations will arise. As it is said, completion must be achieved only through samadhi. For this, some people have not received the introduction before, and now when miraculous powers suddenly appear, they argue about who is afraid and who is frightened, determining that its nature is emptiness.

It is said to prove it with conceptual mind, which is extremely unreasonable. If a yogi does not have a genuine view of emptiness from the guru's instructions from the very beginning, then even if one cuts off thoughts in desperation, there is no hope of attaining one's own ground. The Dharma that liberates in the undestroyed space, the Sangha that strives without separation, to the supreme Three Jewels, without going to the aid or suppression of relatives and enemies, take refuge from the depths of your heart. Reciting three times is a verbal instruction. It is said, and in the Mother Sutra, it says: 'Whatever is without memory and without intention is the recollection of the Buddha.' It also explains the two, Dharma and Sangha. In the Profound Meaning, it says: 'When establishing the nature of reality, conceptual thoughts are very harmful. In the realm of knowable objects, various memories and thoughts arise.' As it is said, it must be accomplished only through Samadhi. Some people have not received introduction to this before, and now when miracles occur, they argue about who is afraid and who is scared, saying that they are proving its emptiness with conceptual mind, which is extremely unreasonable. If a yogi does not have a genuine view of emptiness from the guru's instructions from the very beginning, then even if one cuts off thoughts in desperation, there is no hope of attaining one's own ground. Then, in the Profound Meaning, it says: 'By cutting off the fearful one, fear disappears into its own ground.' Isn't that so? If someone asks, that verse refers to a yogi who has already attained the ground of meditation, and when a sign of accomplishment occurs while abiding, then a person of inferior faculties, through examination, the mind will disappear into its own ground in a state of non-arising, that is the meaning. But it does not refer to someone who has no understanding of meditation. Arya Deva said: 'By meditating on the non-dual Paramita, the worldly gods and demons cannot bear it, miracles of various kinds, manifest glory, dreams, etc., for all of these, the best abide in the meaning of non-duality, the middling focus on it and meditate, the lowest examine it. After that, the experience of awareness separating from intelligence will arise.' It is said, and above, it also says: 'Whenever someone abides in the meaning of the nature of reality, at that time, demons and others cannot bear it and show various miracles.' Thus, if there is no grasp of abiding in the meaning of the nature of reality from the beginning, it cannot be accomplished. Even if a few individuals with broad minds experience some miracles, they cannot defeat the enemy.
