To subdue through the gate of wisdom and attain the unsurpassed Bodhi, that is the religion of me, the beggar woman. Furthermore, benefiting a hundred women is less important than benefiting one man. Benefiting a hundred men is less important than benefiting one ordained person. Benefiting a hundred people driven by circumstances is less important than benefiting one who, without circumstances, enters the gate of the teachings out of renunciation and sorrow. Benefiting a hundred foolish people is less important than benefiting one wise person. Benefiting a hundred who seek only their own benefit is less important than benefiting one who has the ability and courage to benefit others. Benefiting hundreds and thousands of animals is less important than benefiting one who can speak and understand meaning. Benefiting a hundred lay practitioners is less important than benefiting one novice monk. Benefiting a hundred novice monks is less important than benefiting one fully ordained monk. Even more important, benefiting one who understands the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom is crucial. Accumulating a hundred gatherings of material wealth is less important than accumulating the merit of one's own body. Staying in a village monastery and doing a hundred special virtuous deeds is less important than making offerings in a solitary place for seven days. Loving a hundred people who harbor malice towards oneself is less important than cultivating Bodhicitta towards one who is angry and shows wickedness towards oneself. Toiling one's life for the sake of the fruits of this life is less important than, through knowing that all conditioned things are impermanent, not engaging in the affairs of this life, even for a moment of remembrance. Subduing a hundred external ghosts and spirits is less important than slightly subduing the clinging to self. Performing virtuous deeds for a hundred years with self-clinging is less important than meditating on the state of selflessness for a moment. Engaging in teaching, practice, and study for a hundred years for the sake of being learned and gaining fame is less important than recognizing the thought of when one will die for a moment. Performing religious practices and virtuous deeds for a hundred years for the sake of being a virtuous person and gaining benefits and fame is less important than maintaining humility and doing good deeds, and remembering to dedicate merit to sentient beings for a moment. These are the religion of me, the beggar woman. Nowadays, for those afflicted by illness and evil spirits, on the verge of losing their lives, seeking out blind sorcerers from outside.

They invite the so-called "exorcist Bonpos" and offer them veneration. They have the blind Bonpos communicate, giving offerings that do not harm the demons, saying that it can help those with diseases and demons. They slaughter innocent livestock, causing them endless suffering, using fresh flesh and blood, and collecting other bad offerings. After the Bonpos communicate, they give offerings that do not harm the demons, saying that it is used to repay the cost of body and life. Therefore, those who kill innocent beings without disease, wanting to pacify diseases and demons, dispel obstacles, and gain longevity, are like killing the father to save the son, or killing the son to save the father. Those who do such things are foolish, have wrong views, and are doing futile and inverted actions. Therefore, by offering the best food and wealth to the Three Jewels, and praying for the blessings to pacify diseases and demons, one can eliminate diseases and obstacles and gain merit. If one is sick, invite a skilled doctor, and administer good medicine without side effects to treat the disease. This is a good method commonly used by ordinary people. As for me, Spangmo, at the time of death, I cannot take away even a small fraction of the worldly perfections and the attachments to body and life, like splitting a hair into a hundred pieces. Because I am free from the attachment to inner and outer self, there is nothing to hold on to or manage. Without regard for body and life, I give everything to those who want it. What need is there to mention other insignificant attachments such as food and wealth? For any obstacles such as diseases and demons, I treat them from a state of selflessness, through the method of focusing on samadhi. There is no need for external medical treatment and rituals of shamans and Bonpos. This is the teaching of me, Spangmo. In general, when benefiting sentient beings, if one does not abandon one's own body, possessions, fame, and power, and harms other sentient beings for one's own happiness, this kind of practice, the reason why Shakyamuni Buddha in the past did not care about his own head, limbs, and everything else, and gave them away truthfully, is it that the practitioners of today have not realized it? Or have they realized it,
