Having perfected the causes for abandoning afflictions, one relinquishes them without attachment. In general, in order to turn the mind away from the cycle of existence, to forcibly sever the bonds of kinship, and to subtly cut off the mind's craving and attachment to all external appearances, when dwelling alone in a desolate wilderness, severing the clinging to external appearances is my, the wild woman's, doctrine. In general, by repeatedly offering this cherished body and life as food to helpless ghosts, subtly severing the clinging to the intermediate state is my, the wild woman's, doctrine. By concealing awareness in the unborn expanse of the sky, abiding in the state of emptiness where unobstructed power arises naturally and freely, subtly severing inner self-grasping and seizing the stronghold of non-action wisdom is my, the wild woman's, doctrine. In general, what kind of altruistic activity is most supreme? Benefiting a hundred sentient beings with form is less virtuous than benefiting one fierce and extremely powerful formless spirit, because one powerful non-human can harm countless sentient beings with and without form, causing all sentient beings to suffer. Moreover, it itself experiences endless suffering in the lower realms due to constantly associating with evil and malicious thoughts. Therefore, in order to prevent it from harming other sentient beings and to liberate it from the suffering of the lower realms, it must be tamed. Most people nowadays try to expel them, but even if they can be expelled once, they will surely cause harm to sentient beings later. I can also expel such powerful spirits, but I think it is more virtuous to tame them and place them in happiness rather than expel them. The method of taming is not through amulets, substances, or fierce mantras, but by seizing them with the iron hook of love and compassion.
