Free from effort, rest in a state of mind free from thoughts and concepts. Machig (Tibetan: མ་གཅིག་) said: Since the mind is non-dual, look in a way that is invisible. By looking, one does not see one's own mind. Not seeing is seeing the Dharma. Keep it as it is. Then, from the root text of "Profound Meaning Opening the Door of the Sky" (Tibetan: ཟབ་དོན་ནམ་མཁའ་སྒོ་འབྱེད་རྩ་བ་), there are three aspects to establishing meditation through verbal instructions: the teacher of scriptures and transmissions, the teacher of oral instructions and key instructions, and the teacher of experiential faith and understanding. The first is: Thus, the meaning introduced by the lama, the emptiness of mind itself, which is unborn, is without error or delusion. The way things abide in their nature is like that, and the intention of all Buddhas also abides in that way. Such a mind-essence, when not realized, appears as things, but when realized, it is emptiness. As it is said: Whatever exists is said to be neither existent nor non-existent. Children analyze it as existent and non-existent. Existence and non-existence, these two are the Dharma of non-existence. As it is said, if one realizes one's own mind, which is the ultimate truth, one is a true Buddha. From "Transcendent Wisdom" (Tibetan: འདའ་ཀ་ཡེ་ཤེས་): If one realizes the mind, one is a Buddha, so one should cultivate the understanding of not seeking the Buddha elsewhere. At that time, whatever thoughts of right and wrong may arise, do not follow them with awareness, but let them self-liberate in their own place. Do not continue the flow of thoughts, do not prolong the continuity of memory, do not expand the scope of awareness, and say phaṭ (藏文,梵文天城体:फट्,梵文罗马拟音:phaṭ,汉语字面意思:发吒), completely cutting off the movement of thoughts. Awareness is free from attachment, mind is free from speculation and speech, intelligence is free from action and effort, and rest in a state of mind free from thoughts and concepts.

also abides in the same way. Therefore, such a mind-essence, although appearing as a real entity when not realized, is emptiness when realized. As it is said in the scriptures: "Whatever exists is not non-existent. Children cling to existence and non-existence there. Existence and non-existence, these two are non-existent dharmas." Therefore, if one realizes one's own mind, which is the ultimate truth, one is a real Buddha. As it is said in the Adaka Yeshe: "If one realizes the mind, one is a Buddha, so one should cultivate the notion of not seeking the Buddha elsewhere." And as it is said in the Sutra of the Unborn Dharma: "The nature of sentient beings is shown to be enlightenment itself. The nature of enlightenment is shown to be sentient beings themselves. Sentient beings and enlightenment are not two. If one knows this, one will become supreme enlightenment." And as it is said in the Nirvana Sutra: "The so-called Buddha-nature is the ultimate emptiness of the nature of the mind. The ultimate truth is wisdom. The so-called emptiness is not seeing both emptiness and non-emptiness. One should understand that the Buddha-nature is free from the two extremes of the Middle Way." Thus, it is taught to transcend existence, non-existence, permanence, and annihilation. And as it is said in the Sutra of the Unborn Dharma: "The nature of sentient beings is shown to be enlightenment itself. The nature of enlightenment is shown to be sentient beings themselves. Thus, it is taught to transcend existence, non-existence, permanence, and annihilation. As it is said in the Vajra Tent: "From the precious mind that turns outward, there is neither Buddha nor sentient being." And as it is said in the Two Examinations: "Sentient beings are Buddhas themselves, but are obscured by sudden stains. If those stains are removed, they are Buddhas themselves." Thus, for impure sentient beings, ༄༅། །(Tibetan)Kun gzhi. For the pure ones, it is the essence of the Sugata. It inherently exists and pervades all of samsara and nirvana. It has the wisdom self-appearing body and all the Buddha-fields as the inherent nature of the realm of sentient beings. The essence is the ultimate truth, without
