Ugh! Mothers, may all sentient beings be liberated from suffering, this is compassion; having liberated them from suffering, may they be placed in the eternal bliss of liberation and enlightenment, this is loving-kindness. Separated from suffering and the cause of suffering, the responsibility of possessing happiness and the cause of happiness now falls on my shoulders alone. From this moment until the end of samsara, I will not seek peace and happiness even for a moment. For the benefit of the mothers, I will dedicate my body, speech, and mind, as well as my power and authority. I cannot bear even the slightest suffering of each mother. I will make them possess great happiness, liberate them from the suffering of samsara, and place them in unsurpassed enlightenment. To this end, I will initiate armor-like diligence with various methods, without being lazy for even a moment, and quickly make them possess happiness. Ah! If they possess happiness, how happy I would be! This is not just a verbal expression, but a thought that arises from the depths of my heart, this is the superior intention of bodhicitta. In this way, for liberating all sentient beings from suffering and placing them in happiness, the individual abilities of ordinary people are now weak, and it is difficult to eliminate even the slightest suffering of each sentient being. If one attains the state of Buddhahood, then even a small part of his activities can liberate countless sentient beings from small sufferings and various sufferings of samsara; the intermediate can liberate from the entirety of samsara; the superior can introduce them to the path of enlightenment; and especially, they can be placed on the ground of enlightenment. These qualities, such as placing sentient beings in the state of enlightenment in an instant, are beyond description. Therefore, for the benefit of all sentient beings, one must quickly attain the state of Buddhahood. These four thoughts are very important. If one wants to attain omniscience, if one has these four bodhicittas, one can attain it, but if one does not have them, one is powerless. Therefore, one must practice in eight sessions a day and generate bodhicitta, this is a vow. This is the common way of generating bodhicitta, and the special way is: For the object of generating bodhicitta, sentient beings, there is no distinction between near and far, not even as subtle as dividing a hair into a hundred parts. However, sentient beings

One cherishes especially those who are the greatest objects of compassion. The superior intention, which is not just the thought of "how wonderful it would be if they had it," but is generated from the bottom of one's heart, is the mind of enlightenment, and there are three of these. Thus, to liberate all sentient beings from suffering and place them in happiness. However, ordinary individuals at present have little power, and it is difficult to alleviate even a small amount of suffering for each sentient being. If one attains the state of Buddhahood, even a small part of its activity can liberate countless sentient beings from small sufferings due to minor causes, and from specific sufferings of samsara; in the intermediate sense, it can liberate them from samsara in general; in the great sense, it can introduce them to the path of enlightenment; and in particular, it can place them on the ground of enlightenment. The qualities of placing them in the state of enlightenment in an instant, and so on, are beyond description. Therefore, for the benefit of all sentient beings, one should quickly attain Buddhahood. These four thoughts are extremely important. If one wishes to attain omniscience, these four bodhicittas are essential; without them, it is impossible. Therefore, one should meditate in eight sessions even in a single day, and one must generate bodhicitta, this is a commitment. That is the general way to generate bodhicitta, and specifically: There is no near or far, even a difference as small as one-hundredth of a hair, in the object of generating bodhicitta, sentient beings. However, one cherishes especially those sentient beings who are the greatest objects of compassion. The necessity is: for example, a mother has many children, and although there is no near or far, she cherishes the child who is the greatest object of compassion. Similarly, sentient beings are divided into those with form and those without form, and those without form are the greater objects of compassion, because they have no control over even a small amount of form, and are constantly accompanied by harmful thoughts. All non-humans are objects of compassion, especially those powerful spirits are worthy of compassion. Because they can harm countless sentient beings with and without form in an instant, and can destroy themselves and others at the same time. Therefore, non-humans must be regarded as the main objects of taming. Do not torment those cruel gods and demons with substances, offerings, and the visualization of fierce mantras, do not beat them, do not expel them, and ultimately
