From this moment until I attain the essence of enlightenment, I take refuge in the essence of all the body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities of all the Tathagatas of the ten directions and three times, the source of the eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, the master of all the noble Sangha, the kind root and lineage-possessing glorious and holy Lamas, the complete Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas, the holy Dharma, the noble Sangha, the Yidam Mother Tantra, the supreme Dakini, the mandala deities of the ten goddesses of the realm of space, the great wisdom, the glorious protectors, the Dharma protectors, the oath-bound ones. Recite one hundred or twenty-one times, or seven times, etc., according to the circumstances, without abandoning the intention. Pray for great blessings. By saying this, generate definite refuge in the mind stream of each individual. Second, Generating the Mind of Enlightenment: With the thought of wanting to liberate beings, I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha until the essence of enlightenment. May I always be a refuge, with wisdom and compassion, diligently for the benefit of sentient beings, I will remain before the Buddha and generate the supreme mind of enlightenment. Recite this three times. The meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva: In the aperture of your own head, from the syllable པཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: vam, Romanized Sanskrit: vaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning:വം) arises an eight-petaled white lotus, in the center of the lotus from the syllable ཨཱ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ā, Romanized Sanskrit: ā, Literal Chinese meaning: 阿) arises a lunar disc, on top of the lunar disc from the syllable ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) arises a five-pronged vajra, marked with the syllable ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), radiating light, purifying the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings, pleasing the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the light gathers back and dissolves into the syllable ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽), the vajra and the syllable ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) completely merge, transforming into glorious Vajrasattva, body color white, one face, two arms, holding a vajra and bell, embracing the consort, with two legs in vajra posture. The consort is the white pleasing mother, holding a curved knife and skull cup, embracing the father. Both are adorned with bone ornaments and jewels, on the forehead is a white ཨཱོྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: oṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡), on the throat is a red ཨཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: āḥ, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 啊), on the heart is a blue ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽).
