If these situations occur in experience or dreams, it is a sign of expelling demons. Fifth, the signs of healing from illness are: blood, pus, serum, unclean things themselves or their fluids, and the remains of food eaten, etc., are excreted downwards, or vomited upwards, the shape of flames appears in various blue and red colors, wind appears in various colors, light appears in various colors, water appears in various colors, steam appears in various colors, and liquids appear in various colors. These things are discharged from one's own sensory doors or pores. If new diseases suddenly appear, such as wind, bile, phlegm, etc. caused by disease, then blood, etc. is discharged from the site of the disease. Or, fierce beings devour these lesions and make them disappear. Whatever happens, afterwards one feels one's body become light, radiant, and comfortable. Whether these situations occur in experience or dreams, they are signs of healing from illness. Second, there are also five uncommon signs: the sign of purifying obscurations, the sign of the appearance of deity signs, the sign of attaining the path of liberation, the sign of attaining supreme special accomplishments, and the sign of attaining fruition. First, the sign of purifying obscurations is: after bathing, the body is completely washed and all impurities have been removed, the body becomes white and transparent, and unclean things are excreted downwards from within.
