How does one go to sacred places? When asked, it was said: Emaho! It is difficult for the adverse circumstances that arise initially to become an aid to Dharma. At first, with the arrogance of instructions, merely going to sacred places and the like, one will not be swayed by circumstances. The instructions will surely become an aid. If there is concern about harm to mind and body, or interruption to life, through practice, awareness will increase. With increased awareness, experience will arise. When one possesses experience in this way, one will also gain control over the circumstances that arise initially. Circumstances will stimulate the practice of Dharma. Therefore, go to sacred places. Precious! Go to sacred places, son of good family! By loading on such burdens of thoughts, the thought of fearing that ghosts and demons will arise in oneself will naturally cease. In the mind itself, which is without companions, ghosts will not arise without cause. Likewise, all thoughts will cease. Even if a hundred thoughts arise, they will be aids to practice. It was said. How is the view to be viewed? When asked, it was said: Because the mind is not dual, view in a way that there is nothing to view. By viewing, one does not see one's own mind. Not seeing is the very nature of reality. Seeing is not the meaning of the nature of reality. Therefore, there is not even a particle of what is to be viewed. It was said. When going to sacred places, how should one place the mind itself? When asked, it was said: Emaho! Son of good family! Place the body in the manner of a corpse, place it in the manner of having no owner. Place the mind in the manner of the sky, like a butter lamp not moved by the wind, place it in a state of clarity and non-thought. Like the ocean not moved by the wind, place it in a state of calm and clarity. Alas! Son of good family! Awareness should be placed firmly. It should be placed in its own state, without effort or activity. Because the mind itself is without inherent existence, it should be placed without engaging in the grasping of meditation or non-meditation. Because it is unborn and free from activity, it should be placed by relaxing and loosening. It should be placed by shattering into pieces. Because the nature of reality is separate from thoughts, it should be placed without engaging in any calculation. Because the nature of reality transcends both faults and virtues, it should be placed without thinking about either faults or virtues. Sometimes, like a dry human head, the five senses should be placed stiffly. Or, like a young child falling asleep, lie down relaxed.

Just leave it like that. Because the nature of reality is free from arising and ceasing, like a shooting star or an arrow shot by a person, direct awareness to the distance and leave it. Just to be liberated from samsara, and without the purpose of becoming a Buddha, so leave it without any hesitation. Just leave it without meaning. Just leave it in a state of cessation. Just leave it in a way that has no attachment to liking or disliking. Just leave it foolishly. In short, leaving it means not to deliberately discriminate. If you grasp the key point of the instruction, you can leave it in any way, you can do it in any way. Conversely, if you do not grasp the understanding that is separate from the root of meaning, no matter how you leave it, it will not work. However, learn in this way. Son of the lineage, understand it in this way, it is said. How should the method of practice be practiced? I asked. Practice in meaning ༄༅། །Not focusing on anything. The appearance of conditions is the self-nature behavior of samsara. Practice like a pig without discrimination. Practice like a reckless madman. When arrogant thoughts arise, like a child bumping his head, return to that again. No matter what arises from the power of appearing conditions, practice with the view of self-liberation. Do not seek only the aspect of practice. This is it, there are no other instructions. However, do not spread words related to this. Because the mind does not occupy any position, the joys and sorrows of the world are taken away by demons. Spread Dharma stories that bring joy. Sing small tunes combined with experience. Generate sorrow of not knowing what to do. Relax and be comfortable wherever you are. Abide in non-intentionality. Like a weary mind, I don't need to do anything. I don't need anyone. By abandoning all deliberate actions, you will be liberated from all habits. It is said. What is cutting? I asked. Son of the lineage, everything is cut in the mind. The mind is cut in the mind. There is nothing that is not contained in arrogance. Just understanding the function of the mind slightly, like a thief in an empty house, just recognizing it is not enough to grasp the essentials. Rather than gaining understanding, it is better to deliberately practice in meaning. There is no courage to practice, it is said to cut through not being able to bear to give up. It is said. Is there meaning in not being able to bear to give up? I asked. Not being able to bear to give up happiness, not being able to bear suffering, not being able to bear to offer to the gods, not being able to bear to give the body to the demons, one's own dog
