Homage. This great collection of teachings on the Chö practice of subduing demons has three parts: the meaning of the introduction, the main body, and the conclusion. The first has three aspects: paying homage silently, stating the title, and teaching about joy in the essence of Chö. Secondly, the meaning of the main body has two parts: a brief explanation and a detailed explanation of demons. This has three parts: specifically showing the four demons, showing them through examples, and showing them without examples. The first has four: the demon of obstacles, the demon of no obstacles, the demon of joy and elation, and the demon of pride. The first has two parts: identifying the demon that arises from oneself with obstacles, and establishing its nature as emptiness. The unobstructed has two parts: identifying the feeling of unobstructed arising, and teaching that realization arises in the Dharmadhatu as self-liberation. Joy and elation have two parts: briefly showing joy and elation, and explaining in detail. This has two parts: common and supreme. The first has two parts: in a dangerous place, if a ghost clings to merit, it is a demon of the path, and showing merit as a dream. The supreme has two parts: if you do not understand, it is shown as a demon of the path, and it is shown as a mind-made demon. The first has two parts: ༄༅། །Identifying the demon, and if you know the signs, you are liberated. There are two types of identification: supreme, brief explanation, and explanation that is free from elaboration. The second has four parts: in self-arising contemplation, there is no object of observation or observer, and there is no meditator or object of meditation. If you grasp the view of natural arising and spontaneous action, then if you grasp the action, the action is the play of your own nature, and the experience transcends the mind. Showing the mind-made demon has two parts: the supreme demon with desire, the demon of results, and if you realize that you are the three doors of body, speech, and mind, then there is nothing to accomplish. The demon of pride has two parts: briefly showing the demon, and explaining in detail. This has three parts: the demon of obstacles is gathered into pride, the demon of no obstacles is gathered into pride, and the demon of joy and elation is gathered into pride. The first has two parts: if it is not grasped by view, in the realm of objects, it is shown that objects are demons, and if you know that objects are rootless, then it is shown that everything is liberated. The second has five parts: identifying the five unobstructed demons that arise from the root of pride, and if pride and hatred are self-liberated,

Liberated from defilements and realizing the five wisdoms, the door of metaphor has no fearful aspects, and if what is realized is not cut off, it is a binding. Cutting off pride, Emaho! is becoming a Buddha. The third part has two: common and supreme. The common has two: if attached to accomplishments, it is a demon; if not attached, it is an adornment. The supreme has two: showing the three bodies as demons, and knowing this, there is no pride in samsara. The second general meaning is explained through the door of metaphor, with five parts: explanation by metaphor, view, meditation, conduct, and result. The first part has two: if the metaphor of the tantra does not fit, it is a binding; if one writes well oneself, realization benefits others. The view has two: realizing the demon as a great garuda, severing its root; knowing this way, severing the root leads to liberation. Meditation has three: from the method of removing metaphors, it is inconceivable; without contrivance, arising contrivance, especially abiding; and knowing that memory, thought, and awareness are inherently unreal, thereby transcending suffering. Conduct has two: the asceticism of being free from afflictions, conduct becoming space, thereby showing everything as a helper. The result has two: the result of realizing the meaning, nothing can be accomplished; and the arrogant one is certain to be a Buddha. The third general meaning is explained from being free from metaphor, with five parts: awareness is delusion, ignorance is wisdom, unmade is the basis, non-action is the path, and non-accomplishment is the result. The first part has two: self-nature ignorance is delusion, and accomplishment is undifferentiated, depending on the edge to be deluded. The second part has two: transforming delusion into wisdom, and showing that what is known arises spontaneously. The third part has two: the Buddha was not made, and not realizing from the unmade aggregate of the world. The fourth part has two: realizing the unmade four truths as unreal, and realizing the meaning, liberating from samsara by the nature of the form aggregate. The fifth part has four: unrealized wisdom, showing as a method to guide the weak; if accomplishment is false, there is no cause and effect; if wisdom does not liberate from the Dharma, there is no meaning; if realizing non-grasping, it is shown as body, speech, and mind. The meaning of the conclusion also has two: the name Emaho! is explained from the door of meaning, and experience. There are four: the experience of being free from diligence, and special instructions, such as land; and the burden of conditioned appearances.
