Therefore, having understood this, the clinging to that is liberated. There, having abandoned the self-generated conceptual thoughts, the cause for generating afflictions is eliminated. Therefore, there is no basis for accumulating karma. The cause of samsara is naturally severed. Therefore, there is no cause for generating the maturation of karma. Therefore, the net of existence will not be formed. Therefore, understand that there is no other place to go except for Buddhahood. Please attain realization. Seventh, this is the teaching of the unsurpassed method. If the mind of things is too strong on appearance, then know that samsara and nirvana are non-dual. That is to say, if the appearance of the six outer aggregates is seen as self-existent, and the mind of grasping at conceptualizations of things is too strong, then because this is the time to abandon the defilement of delusion, the meaning of the symbolic instructions given by the lama should be grasped with mindfulness. In this regard, knowing that appearance is baseless and that its essence is unestablished is itself the self-experience of grasping the root. The bad conditions of the symbol are flaws. The armor of wisdom. Therefore, knowing that samsara is without self-nature is the ultimate conclusion. Therefore, contemplating that samsara is baseless and empty of its own essence is the crucial place to go, which is beyond suffering. Knowing that samsara and nirvana are of one taste, non-dual, is union. As a first-time yogi, please attain such understanding. Because non-duality has been established, the mind that clings to things naturally appears as unborn. The realm is exhausted, and what karma will accumulate? Knowing that the mind liberated from karma is liberation, please attain understanding. Eighth, this is the teaching of imposing arrogance on incomparable awareness. If the mind of self-grasping is too strong, then forcibly cut off attachment. That is to say, the oral instructions of the practice lineage that are not fully known to others have become obstacles to the path of liberation and its fruition. This is what is said. It is to be identified within this later lineage of pacification. How is it identified? By regarding detachment as supreme, if the mind of self-grasping is too strong in view, then the essence is defiled. Therefore, the attachment to emptiness should not fall to any side, but should be forcibly and unhesitatingly cut off. If bliss and clarity are regarded as supreme, and the mind of self-grasping is too strong in meditation, then the experience is defiled. Therefore, the attachment to joy and bliss, in the place beyond the object of focus, where no sign is established, should be forcibly cut off without clinging there. Do not fabricate.

If one clings to views and has excessive attachment to self in conduct, the nature of yoga becomes defiled. Therefore, one should forcefully abandon the attachment to desire, neither accepting nor rejecting, without establishing any inherent nature. If one clings to the three kayas and has excessive attachment to the result, what is to be accomplished becomes defiled. Therefore, one should forcefully abandon the ultimate attachment, without hope or desire. If one clings to the profound meaning and has excessive attachment to the instructions, the introduction becomes defiled. Therefore, one should forcefully abandon the crucial attachment, without reliance and without reality. As it is said in the Vajra Song: "Whatever one clings to as supreme is the cause of bondage. The mind that clings to external objects as permanent is the object to be abandoned as the defilement of delusion. Look at appearances as baseless! The extreme of the mind that clings to freedom from elaboration is the object to be abandoned as the defilement of the expanse. Look at awareness as non-clinging!" So it is said. Ninth, this is to show that the unconditioned awareness is placed in the sky. If awareness becomes dull and dense, release the stream of consciousness into the sky. This is to say: There are three different distinctions here. Outward awareness, the consciousness of memory and thought, is not clear from the basic introduction. If, due to symbolic causes, it becomes dense with conceptualization, then with the view of the Vajra Pinnacle, release the stream of consciousness into the sky, and it will encounter innate awareness. Inward view, if objectless awareness becomes biased and its essence falls under the density of elaboration, then with the view of the Lion, release the stream of consciousness into the sky, and fierce clarity will arise. Secret practice, if non-clinging awareness becomes absorbed in the support of the object of focus and falls into the density of characteristics, then with the view of the Rakshasa, release the stream of consciousness into the sky, and clinging will be cut off from the root. Tenth, this is to show the forceful cutting through of awareness. It is said that suddenly severing attachment to a child is the instruction of the guru. If one is attached, even to the deity of the yidam, it becomes a cause of bondage, because attachment to anything, whether real or unreal, is called a child. Therefore, suddenly severing attachment to cherished clinging, forcefully making a decision, is the instruction of the guru, because the object of focus
