It is said that initially, asceticism was practiced on the riverbank, and afterwards, instructions were given to the disciples. For a practitioner, it is crucial that the blessings of the Guru and the Three Jewels enter their being. If courage and confidence are lacking, actions will not transform into resilient strength but will become mere talk. Where can someone without the experience of realization endure youthful appearances? If distrust is not overcome, unfavorable circumstances cannot be suppressed. A weak tree, separated from its trunk, lacks the strength of wisdom. If the Guru's blessings do not enter, the power of empowerment cannot mature, thus preventing the suppression of conceptual thoughts. If conceptual thoughts cannot be suppressed, the path of wisdom is blocked. If the blessings of the Yidam do not enter, the power of activities cannot mature, thus preventing the suppression of afflictions. If afflictions cannot be suppressed, adverse conditions will not turn into assistance. If the blessings of the Dakini do not enter, spirits and non-humans cannot be suppressed. If non-humans cannot be suppressed, the benefit of others cannot be accomplished through abilities. Overcoming unfavorable circumstances and being liberated from the causes of obstacles occur simultaneously. Secondly, what steals the mind of diligence is what I consider the enemy of the path to liberation. The idea of preparing and then practicing is a shackle of laziness. That is to say, one cannot say, "I will go to Dharma after finishing my busy affairs," because it is the nature of things that work is not abandoned until what is necessary is not given up. The affairs of this life are seeds of suffering, which only cause the leaves of suffering to grow. Until one realizes what is unnecessary, it is impossible to prepare things, because it is the nature of things that busy affairs do not end until the mind is not turned away from desire. Whenever faith arises, if one does not engage in Dharma at that very moment, one will not be able to complete the work. Because it cannot be completed by doing, it is necessary to understand that it is completed by letting go as the key instruction. Where will Dharma come to a person who does not sever ties like a madman and still relies on relatives? Preparing to practice from a place where worldly Dharma has not been destroyed is itself a shackle of laziness. Just as ice and fire cannot coexist. No matter how hard men and women try, unless they get rid of the armor of the world, the Dharma that transcends the world will not arise in their being, so it is impossible to practice Dharma within worldly Dharma. Because these two are contradictory. Until the actions of sentient beings are not abandoned

Ah! Because the meaning of Buddhahood cannot be achieved, the son of King Śuddhodana renounced the throne and his retinue to become a renunciate, and the key lies there. If one must do that, then distance oneself from one's birthplace, abandon relatives and friends, wear tattered clothes, and dwell in humble places. Increase practice in unfamiliar places. Do not regard accumulating merit as an obstacle, but regard receiving offerings as supreme. Only then can one ascend the path of liberation. One must act in such a way that one does not contract leprosy and does not mingle with the crowd. The third is not to associate with defilements in pure conduct. Even food and clothing that are contrary to the Dharma are wrong livelihood. That is to say, for practitioners, pure livelihood is very important. If one seeks food and wealth through the Dharma, that is the price of selling one's eyes, which is a defilement. If one attains a position of respect by practicing with non-humans, that is taking what is not given, which is a defilement. If one seeks material possessions by conforming to worldly ways, that is taking what is not given through deception and stealth, which is a defilement. If everything is stained by defilements, then one will not receive blessings of refuge due to the nature of being contrary to the Dharma. Food and clothing are also accompanied by karmic results and are actually unnecessary, because they are wrong livelihood, so they are a source of shame for those with the eye of wisdom, and an obstacle to obstructing the noble path. Because it is wrong livelihood, the beings of this present age are tormented by desire, and driven by greed, they are even able to abandon the Dharma for the sake of wealth. Those who were not born into it unnecessarily are objects of compassion, and if they do not remember karmic results, even wearing the robes of a monk is useless. Because one enjoys impure livelihood, even if one enters the gate of profound Dharma, the root cause of not manifesting signs of accomplishment on the path lies there. There is no one who does not need food and clothing, and it is important to understand that it is important not to mix with sin. The fourth is that if one is not ashamed, one will mix business. Practice the Dharma properly and you will not have to suffer the pain of food and clothing, that is to say, strive to perform white virtuous deeds and turn your back on sinful non-virtuous deeds, which is called Dharma. Practicing the Dharma properly means that body, speech, and mind are not accompanied by hypocrisy, do not accept worldly glory, and aim at the benefit of the next life in everything one does, and incline towards the Dharma.
