Therefore, if you want to cultivate virtue or generate it, but you do not remember death, then Dharma will not arise. This is what those with the eyes of the Guru's instructions say. Therefore, it is necessary to recognize that when cultivating virtue, one should not rely on the thoughts of this life. Likewise, in the Vajra Song it is said: Just as a lamp goes out when the oil is exhausted, when the causes for the increase of life come together, can one grasp the beginning of the path with the Dharma of remembrance at that time? If the thought of death is not born, the thoughts of this life will not be abandoned. In this way, delusion will not be eliminated. O fair-faced one, please contemplate death! Thus it is said. Therefore, with a little merit, one thinks that one has reached the state of Bodhi. The nineteenth chapter is finished. Now is the twentieth chapter, which explains how to decide with many understandings. Venerable one, please tell me about this pure conduct that no one else can do. The Venerable one said: By merely abandoning desire, one can avoid abandoning the eight worldly concerns separately. By abandoning worldly affairs, one can avoid specifically abandoning the suffering of samsara. By not letting non-Dharma enter the mind, there is no need to apply antidotes to the five poisons. By mainly accomplishing the benefit of others, there is no need to strive to accomplish one's own benefit. By parting with samsara, there is no need to fear the city of the six realms. Finish the work now, and the Acharya will not be able to enter the womb again and again. It is said that he said this. This is like the body, After briefly explaining it, now explain its characteristics in detail like branches. It is determined by seven methods of determining the ground. First, ask about conduct that is inconsistent with worldly people. Second, the answer is that by abandoning the root of suffering, it is shown that the branches of affliction wither. Third, by removing the external defilements of needs, the cause of suffering is purified in itself. Fourth, because wisdom does not follow external objects, it shows that everything done becomes virtuous. Fifth, by using compassion in activities, one's own benefit is effortlessly accomplished. Sixth, because the root of dependent origination arises, the bondage of samsara is naturally liberated. Seventh, one is tired of the birthplaces of the six realms. Among them, the first is asking about conduct that is inconsistent with worldly people. Venerable one, this kind of conduct that no one else can do

B. (Question:) What kind of holy deeds are you performing? (Answer:) Sometimes I say I am the son of Lawapa, saying, "It is very important for a son to inherit his father's tradition," and then I sleep day and night. Sometimes I say, "The son of Birupa does not need clothes," and then I do not wear clothes. Sometimes I say I am the son of Dombi Heruka, and I do not answer whatever is asked, (because) the sutra says, "The son of good wisdom must speak." Sometimes I say, "There is para," and then I mutter to myself day and night when there is no one around. Because I do not understand the meaning of these actions, I ask. Second, the answer is that by abandoning the root of suffering, the leaves of affliction can be shed, which refers to: The holy one said, "As long as you let go of greed, you do not need to abandon the eight worldly dharmas separately." This is because unnecessary calculations have been cut off in the heart. As long as you let go of greed, you can lay the bed of happiness, because the end of greed is suffering. As soon as a yogi is free from the mind of desire, perverse knowledge is completely eliminated, and the hairs of duality are naturally liberated. Because for such a person, happiness is happiness, unhappiness is unhappiness; remembering is happiness, not remembering is unhappiness; pleasant is happiness, unpleasant is unhappiness; praise is happiness, slander is unhappiness. For these eight worldly stains, the mind of acceptance and rejection has been liberated, so there is no need to deliberately abandon them with antidotes, because the self-continuum does not rely on the awareness of duality, and the destruction of the castle of conceptualization occurs at the same time. Therefore, by being free from greed, one can recognize that the grasper and the grasped do not abide. Thus, in the Vajra Song it says: The end of greed is suffering, and being free from greed is the best of happiness. Alas, alas, in the self-continuum, liberation from acceptance and rejection liberates the eight dharmas. In the place where the stains of duality are removed, the hairs of conceptualization will not arise. Just like a dried-up ocean, reeds will not grow there. Third, in order to eliminate the necessary doubts, (the answer is) the cause of suffering is naturally purified, which refers to: By abandoning worldly affairs, there is no need to specifically abandon the suffering of samsara. This is because the practitioner, with an auspicious body, develops aversion to samsara and abandons worldly affairs, because there is nothing else to do there except Dharma, so the suffering of samsara will be found by happiness, and the things that are possessed cannot be protected by guarding, these two are the same.
