People don't remember. In general, it is said that people who cannot live alone are not happy. If we are allowed to say these things, then there are seven categories of meaningful targets. First, if there is no descent of teachings, the shortcomings of experience are not seen. One is to show that faults are not seen. Two is to show that clearing the dangers of suffering opens the door to happiness. Three is to show that those with preconceptions have no path to liberation. Four is to show that wasting resources does not bear the fruit of desire. Five is to show that if clarity does not have luster, the talent of virtue in the ignorant will cease. Six is to show that bad circumstances lead to the path of renunciation. Seven is to show that without being freed from the leader of the assembly, one cannot throw off the hat of suffering. Among these seven categories, the first is to show that if there is no descent of teachings, the shortcomings of experience are not seen. This is what the Holy One said. To become a Buddha, one needs the oral instructions of the lineage. It is said that those who like root words are fond of terms. This was said to Yong Geshe Sherab Senge. Similarly, it is also said like this. The Holy One said. Not understanding the shortcomings of the key points, knowing a lot is of no use. Following for the sake of empty fame is like a dog. This depends only on Phaglam Lama. If a Buddha does not have the descent of teachings, he cannot ripen his followers. For example, if a carved bowl has no pattern, it will not become smooth. Fortunate son, if you contemplate the meaning of the scriptures in your mind, if the lama does not have the descent of teachings, you will not know the shortcomings of the key points. Without the oral instructions of the lineage, how can the understanding of meaning arise? This refers to the source of the lineage. Just like the experiential instructions of the accomplished one, it is important to pass from one lamp to another. The fortunate spring is blue, but it has dirt. Those who like root words, those people whose words are withered like leaves, like terms. Therefore, experience does not arise in the continuum. Thinking is like a willow, connected to a willow, where does the boundary of wisdom stop? This is the root of why a pandita dies vulgarly. Second, this is to show that clearing the dangers of suffering opens the door to happiness. The beginning of happiness is guided by suffering. It cannot be achieved with small methods. This was said to Dro Salé. He said to the Holy One. Enter the illusion of sin!

After happiness comes sorrow. A person who has not experienced suffering will not recognize happiness, so it is said. A practitioner who desires liberation must endure suffering on the path of ascetic practice. The beginning of happiness is guided by the suffering experienced beforehand, and after that, happiness is natural. A person with a small mind who does not seek enlightenment will not accept suffering. Without a foundation of accumulation and purification, one cannot achieve accomplishment. Do not merely know the Dharma; if you do not practice it, realization will not arise in your mind. Third, this reveals that there is no liberation in attachment. Renunciation is the antidote to the eight worldly concerns. The saying, "Born from suffering, attached to miserliness," was said to Mi Nying Tri Bar (transliteration). The holy one said, "For a person who understands that wealth is useless, the sky will shower nectar." It is said that to an attached person, saying "Aba" is actually pointing to the Buddha behind them. With a useless mind, break down attachment through renunciation, cast out what you have, and do not generate desire for what you do not have. In this way, you cut off the cause of the arising of the eight worldly concerns, and the seeds of karma will rot. A useless mind is the antidote to afflictions. The master said, "To abandon what should not be abandoned, and to abandon the action that should be abandoned is like a dog." When the thought of desire turns inward, it is easier to generate suffering than to cling to the noble path. Being overly attached to things, clinging to miserliness, will lead you away from the path of liberation. To generate a useless mind, here, appearances and sounds are practiced as illusions. Fourth, this reveals that wasting the cause will not ripen the desired result. Focus is the weapon of a yogi, which a bad disciple cannot understand. This was said to Zhang Dro Chungwa (transliteration). The holy one said, "Dro Gon's practice is like a lead axe; you won't see iron even if you sharpen it." If focus is obstructed, the three states of sinking, dullness, and fogginess cannot approach the mindstream of a yogi. For example, the weapon of a king guarding the land is like a wheel of swords, where contact and cutting happen simultaneously. Such sharp focus does not come naturally from the beginning; one must initially work hard on clarity, lucidity, and transparency.
