Someone said that there is no way to avoid offering Torma (གཏོར་མ, Sanskrit: Bali, offering). After hearing that, he laughed for a long time and said: I, Tön Zung (སྟོན་གཟུངས), have not even seen a monk, if you find some, then that is a layman. I have determined all dharmas as illusion for many years, there is no Torma more supreme than liberating the dualistic consciousness into its own nature. I do not make so many tsampa tormas, because that would damage the flour. I, this practitioner, have already pleased the Dharma protectors, because by investing essence with devotion and faith, there is no reason why the gods and dakinis would not bless me. Each Torma can obtain seven seven Magadha measures, so the Kadampa (བཀའ་གདམས་པ) people have become as rich as pretas. For those whose mouths are burning outside and rotting inside, I said there is no need to offer Torma. He also said: The lama who does not make offerings and Torma is truly free. Someone said, there is no mouth that does not see a doctor. He replied to this: The teacher, this body of flesh and blood composed of aggregates of appropriation, comes from the mother's womb accompanied by disease. The three poisons are the place where they reside in the mind, desire generates wind, hatred generates bile, and ignorance generates phlegm. I, the nephew of the Indian Rinpoche, will not treat diseases with hot and cold medicines. Because I know how to invest the elements into the essence with the key instructions of the wisdom mind, so there is no need to rely on the medical text "Tsaraka". Treating diseases with medicine is the way of those people. He also said: Teacher, these nephews of the Indian Rinpoche, regard merit as the enemy of the path to liberation. Because they have abandoned the great methods of the world, they will not pray to ghosts and spirits. Because they carry the root of the Three Jewels, the body of all Buddhas in one—the lama—on the crown of their heads, they will not ask the gods for blessings. Because there is a key instruction to transfer the heart blood of the dakini to the thang (ཐང་, a kind of container), they will not covet other teachings. Because they know how to train the power of wisdom, they do not need to treat diseases with medicine. The practitioner feels ashamed to hand his hand to the doctor. He also said: The arrogant practitioner, although different from others, cannot accept rewards when sick. There is a record in the Sutra that the holy Arhat of Mar (མར་) died of a cold, so one should accumulate merit. He said to this:

The venerable one smiled slightly and said: I have brought the fundamental yoga mind training to the extreme. The yoga of the path, I have walked the path of asceticism three times. The accumulation of merit has been completed, and now there is no need to accumulate more. Even if the entire Jambudvipa is filled with gold and offered, it cannot surpass the roots of virtue accumulated from the accumulation of wisdom. There are few people in Phenpo (a place name) who know how to accumulate merit. The teacher himself has reached the end, so he said. Someone also said: A bad person will not reach the end. In general, that's how it is, he said. To this, the venerable one said: In general, as a monk, one must guard the precepts in one's heart. In general, after obtaining a human body, one must cut off worldly dharma. In general, after entering the Buddhist gate, one must abandon sins and non-virtue. In general, the necessity of understanding the Dharma is to practice it. In general, one must generate the thought of the Buddha towards the guru. In general, everything the guru says must be regarded as instruction. In general, when encountering a blessing-bestowing Rinpoche, one must diligently practice in one's heart. In general, if one cannot abide in reality, so he said. Someone also said: The Kadampa people are all fabricating. The teacher said: The Kadampa people do not understand other methods, and how can I not be deluded by the magic of dependent origination like a king's treasure? The Vajrasana Root Tantra says: When the deities are disturbed and the elements are disturbed, both disturbances cause diseases. I said: I know how to integrate the guru into the essence, so there is no control of deity disturbance. I know how to integrate awareness into the essence, so there is no control of element disturbance. I know how to balance the elements, so there is no control of the elements being high or low. I know how to transform diseases into the body's nourishment, so there is no disturbance of wind, bile, and phlegm. Dampa Rinpoche once said: Practitioners who do not accumulate merit will get sick. Will I get sick, or what will happen? So he said. Someone asked: The light of appearance touching awareness is called "སྐད་པ་", what does this refer to? The venerable one replied: The objects of the six senses, manifesting various phenomena such as white, red, etc., ordinary conceptual thoughts consider these to be real, thereby generating clinging thoughts. Therefore, relying on objects, various thoughts of attachment and aversion arise. Therefore, there is nothing that does not turn into suffering.
