In these volumes, you will find the entire collected writings of The Pacification of Suffering; the Zhi byed tradition of Padampa Sangye. The lineage of these teachings spread from the Indian master Kamalashila, also known as Padampa Sangye (phdam psangs gyas 5441117), to Tibet. Of particular importance here are four volumes of the Zhije tradition that spread to the upper pass of Tibet, Palgyi Dingri. GreaChariots of the Practice Traditions (grub brgyud shinrtchen po brgyad). We have also added the entire collection of the Chod (gchod) or Cutting Through practices of Machi Labdron (mgchilabsgron10551149), long considered to be a branch of the Zhije tradition. This includes both root texts and auxiliary treaties. We are extremely grateful to Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche for kindly blessing us with the permission to publish and distribute the Zhije; to Kyabje Jadral Rinpoche for the kind advice and encouragement to work on the preservation of this endangered tradition; to Dhakpo Tulku Rinpoche for his continued support; to Ven. Matthieu Ricard for allowing us the use of the Shechen Archives; to Mr. SampLhundu and Ven. The oral teachings of Lama Patsab, called Nectar Instructions, are here. Homage! In the language of India: Guru Vachanāmṛtābbadonāma (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Guru vacanāmṛtābbadonāma, The Name of the Guru's Word Nectar Sea, Literal Chinese Meaning). In the language of Tibet: The oral teachings of Lama Patsab, called Nectar Instructions. Homage to the lineage lamas! The prince, lion of men, supreme Buddha, and Manjushri Lion of Speech, and many Sugatas, have seen their faces. He holds the lineage of fifty-five male and female yogis. Because he possesses innate wisdom, he is not confused about the Dharma of the Tripitaka. He is skilled in the five sciences. It is said that he is the seventh-life Bodhisattva. He has abandoned this life and strives for the next. A practitioner, Homage! He is a person of Poten. He has emerged from the three kinds of asceticism, like a lamp in a dark room. He is free from the defilements of the eight worldly concerns. It is said that he is like an ornament among the accomplished ones. The holy one, endowed with many great qualities, although he has many heart-sons, like the eldest son, Lama Bodhisattva Kunga (All Joyful), bestowed eight kinds of rare instructions that had never existed in Tibet before. The unsurpassed unique view is the elimination of the limits of knowable objects. The unsurpassed unique meditation is the recognition of the stainless. The unsurpassed unique conduct is the adherence to habitual patterns. The unsurpassed unique instructions are the four descents of the oral transmission. The unsurpassed unique blessings are the four ways of taking empowerment. The unsurpassed unique mantra is the collection of Āli (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Āli, Vowel, Literal Chinese Meaning) and Kāli (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Kāli, Consonant, Literal Chinese Meaning), the secret ocean. The unsurpassed unique method is the seven greatnesses of dependent origination.
