Where is the place of practice before I give up? Now I want the only Buddha who has not yet attained enlightenment. In the Kham dialect, there are difficulties and doubts, he said. He also said: Even if one has great wisdom, do not reveal the faults of those who have no definite understanding. Even if one knows many Buddhist teachings, the path to liberation will not arise in those who are arrogant. Even if one is sharp-minded, do not lightly transmit the Dharma to those who have no faith. Even if the instructions are profound, those who have no perseverance will not be able to complete their practice. Even if one has heard extensively, a teacher who does not remember death will have no real practice. Even if one is sharp-minded and has wisdom, a person who is separated from the guru will never be able to resolve their questions. Even if one is not confused about the treasury of qualities, if one does not have the eye of instructions, realization will not arise in one's mind. Even if one is a lineage holder, if one does not turn away from worldly fame and gain, one will not enter the path of virtue, he said. He also asked: It is very important not to make mistakes from small things, what does this mean? He answered: Great merit is obtained by accumulating good from small things. Therefore, accumulate merit from small things. Evil turns into great consequences from small things, therefore, abandon evil from small things. The subtle aspects of karma and its results, when the results ripen, will become happiness and suffering, and their power is greater than the subtle aspects. Some people do small good deeds and think: Will doing this bring great merit? Then they stop. But that is not the case. Some people think that small evil deeds will not bring great sins, so they do not avoid them, which is foolish. This is like the yeast in yogurt, one should not underestimate the results of karma, be careful! he said. He also asked: What is the basis for completely eliminating afflictions? He answered: It is faith. Faith is the root of protecting and increasing all good qualities. Without faith, the path to liberation will be blocked. The power of faith cannot be destroyed by others. Because faith enables one to transcend obstacles. Faith is the root of accumulating all roots of virtue. Without faith, white qualities will not arise. Faith is the main cause of attaining Buddhahood. Without faith, there is no state of enlightenment. With faith there is liberation, without faith there is no liberation, he said. He also asked: What is called the path that completely liberates from defilements?

When asked, what is the auxiliary condition that can overcome the antidote? The answer is: For a yogi on the path, the increase of awareness is very important. If the antidote is not applied to the object of focus, the mere antidote cannot accomplish the path. Here, by combining practice with the object of focus where attachment and aversion arise, the subtle details of the object of focus are not lost. When the antidote gains a slight advantage, one can drink the essence of the original path. Just like cutting a sword in water, before the traces of attachment and aversion appear, the path to liberation from defilements will open without any obstacles. When the antidote becomes powerful and can overcome the object of focus, the name of yogi can be obtained at this moment. When the Dharma becomes the antidote to afflictions, the original lineage becomes soft and gentle. Please, what is the fruit of eliminating the cause? Answer: The Tathagatagarbha (tathāgatagarbha, Sanskrit: तथागतगर्भ, Roman transliteration: tathāgatagarbha, literal meaning: womb of the Tathagata) is universally present in all beings. Because the clouds of ignorance of the six realms of beings have not yet dissipated, they are trapped in the eggshell of samsara. The minds of sentient beings are deluded by ignorance, and they grasp inverted delusions as reality. From this, afflictions arise, afflictions create karma, and karma becomes the cause of generating samsara. Here, through the symbol of dependent origination, all phenomena are seen as rootless, thereby eliminating the appearance of delusion, eliminating inversion, and eliminating afflictions. Since the pulling and enduring of karma has ended, and there is no seed to generate karma, it is said that the cause has been eliminated. Now possessing the power of non-retrogression, one will not fall. Please, what is it called to steer the reins of discipline with mindfulness? Answer: This is spoken from the perspective of motivation being powerful. Keeping the precepts, even for the sake of being born in a good realm, for the sake of obtaining the status of gods and humans, is the discipline of good wishes. If one keeps the precepts out of fear of the suffering of samsara, in order to attain nirvana, then that is the discipline of renunciation. If one keeps the precepts because samsara appears as the nature of suffering, in order to benefit sentient beings and aspire to attain perfect enlightenment, then that is the discipline of the Bodhisattva vows. All virtues are accomplished by this path. The precious Lama said: The mind is called a great master, and it is also steered by mindfulness.
