Taking obstacles as the norm, destroying worldly glory. Washing away the stains of the eight worldly concerns, the yogi's own ground is not lost. Turning away from desire, this life's livelihood is abandoned like ashes of spit. Like the wish-fulfilling tree and the wish-fulfilling jewel, one is able to completely fulfill the hopes of those to be tamed. The four individual perfect knowledges, appearing on the eighth ground, therefore this lama is definitely an emanation body, it is decided that he is not an ordinary person. Furthermore, these nectar-like words from his mouth are the vajra that destroys all great rocks of affliction, the fire that burns the seeds of habitual tendencies of all afflictions, the sword that cuts all snares of demons, the elephant that liberates from the battlefield of afflictions, the sun that dries up the ocean of samsara, the path that leads to the city of nirvana, the key that opens the doors of liberation, the bird that pulls out the thorns of latent suffering. It is the eye that shows all the noble paths, it is something that is superior to the instructions. These essential words that burn the marrow like moxibustion, like the precious words of the Buddha, are good in the beginning, good in the middle, good in the end, good in meaning, good in words, unmixed, complete, pure, because they know the thoughts of others, they are written for the individual's capacity, they are words that point directly to the point, hitting the nail on the head. In addition, all those who are stained by the saliva of the protector, the jewel on the crown (referring to the guru), have not failed to generate some kind of merit, such as Lama Shen Gom Retulchen and other accomplished ones have also appeared a lot. The knots in the hearts of Geshe Gyadrak So and other wise men have also been untied a lot. It is not that they are stingy with the Dharma, but like meeting an underground treasure requires a person with karma, although there are many Tibetans who are greedy for fame and fortune, this instruction is not something that anyone can meet, such as the monk Tsultrim Seng and other fortunate ones, a slight touch is like a thorn in the flesh, and those of us who can touch the dust of his feet also have a small understanding, so we have not returned empty-handed. ༈ And once again Om Mani Padme Hum (Tibetan: ༀ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम् मणि पद्मे हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om, the jewel in the lotus, Hum!)

At one time, the compassionate Lama said: The innate wisdom, that which is co-emergent and abides within oneself, is not realized through speculative reasoning. It is only through the warmth of blessings or symbolic methods of representation that it can be understood. It is difficult to even slightly comprehend it through the wisdom of hearing. It arises when one develops fervent faith and reverence for the Lama, when the mind becomes warm, and when one sees the Lama as the Buddha. Even clever and sharp-minded individuals are of no help. A foundation of prior accumulation and purification is necessary, the Lama said. Again, he said: Generating impermanence in one's being, accompanied by the awareness of death, is the first. Not seeing the Lama as an ordinary person, but perceiving him as the Buddha, is the second. The knowledge of dualistic appearance dissolving into its own nature, and Mahamudra arising in one's being, is the third. These are equally important. If any one of these three arises in one's being, the other two will merge into it. This only happens in the being of a fortunate individual; otherwise, it is not possible. For those who only know a little Dharma, common view, meditation, and conduct do not arise, the Lama said. Someone asked: Is it because of the essential points of the instructions that Mahamudra does not arise in one's being? The Lama replied: For Mahamudra to arise in one's being, a clear sign is that the person must be disillusioned with samsara. If one does not abandon the pursuit of worldly achievements, it is impossible to find the path to liberation. As long as we do not let go of our attachment to this life, there is no way to attain Buddhahood. Nowadays, these so-called practitioners are actually using the stick of liberation to drive themselves far away, the Lama said. Someone asked: Are there few people who truly turn away from the pursuits of this life? The Lama replied: Yes, it is unsettling. Although they strive for worldly success and are not ignorant of the treasures of merit, they are actually going against the Dharma. If merit does not become provisions for the next life, what is the use of having so much knowledge? It is very rare to find someone who does not lose sight of the true purpose of the Dharma. The gods with their eyes of wisdom feel ashamed and laugh at those who confuse Dharma and personal matters. Because most people are deceived by worldly appearances, we should place the Dharma first, the Lama said. On another occasion, the Lama instructed Geshe Ngokton Gewa: How much Dharma does the Teacher (Buddha) know?
