There are few practitioners, and in this age of strife, those with fortune are rare. When Dharma is given to people, they say it is not needed at all, so the Lama laughed for a long time and said, that is also a true reflection of practitioners! Without seeing the service to the Lama, but seeing the person who seizes the Lama's teachings; the person without the intention of practice; the person with the idea of wanting to become a wise man; for the people who trade the Dharma they have obtained as a commodity. We secretly impart the teachings of words and pictures, and we will not give sugar and butter to those who cannot practice, like we would to a dog. Again, he said: In general, if you explain the Dharma of the practice lineage of Jowo Jetsun (referring to Atisha), it is like the wind blowing away dust. If you write down the oral teachings, it is a waste of listening. If there are too many rituals of the Mandala offering, it is laziness. If a yogi gathers a retinue from his own position, he will be taken away by demons. If a practitioner is greedy for pleasure, it is looking for an opportunity for demons and ghosts to take advantage of. Again, he said: Hiding practice and telling others is the cause of obstacles. Do not easily reveal secrets, otherwise you will be punished by the Dakinis. Do not sell teachings as food and property, otherwise you will violate the Lama's precepts. Practitioners should not pursue high positions, otherwise they will lose the position of a yogi. Practitioners should not engage in social activities, otherwise they will become the retinue of demons of greed and hatred. Do not show your wealth to others, great practitioners should keep their mouths shut. Someone asked: What is the key to further advancing self-realization? The answer is: When a person's body decays, the path of relying on others will be cut off. If behavior is aimless, it will not be valued by people. In this way, self-realization will go to the next level. Do not go to places where people slander, and do not enter places that are respected. Not being contaminated by worldly merits, self-realization will go to the next level. Looking at fame like loathing vomit, you will block the door to pursuing goodness. Maintaining low behavior, in this way self-realization will go to the next level. Again, he said: Entering the ranks of good people will destroy one's own comfortable nest. Entering a place of respect, the seat of practice will be taken away by laziness. Obtaining worldly merits, there will be enemies of obstacles in practice. Becoming the leader of the Sangha, the yogi's position will be lost. Occupying a high position will give rise to arrogance, and demons will take advantage of it.

So it is said. Again it was said: Those who desire fame and enjoy talking will make their own interests chaotic. Those who focus their energy on material possessions will not feel the progress of their practice. Those who hold high positions and important places will not have practice. Those who pursue profit, fame, and good reputation will not attain enlightenment. Those who seek liberation must have conduct that is different from the worldly, so it is said. Geshe Gya Drak Sö said: There will be many people who become naturally scattered without listening to the Dharma, which is called "Gawa." It is said that in the southern Vishva Krodha Chandana continent, whether male or female, they become natural yogis from birth. Even the person with the best faculties is influenced by karmic energy. For those who have accumulated and purified in the past, it is uncertain when the karmic effects will ripen. When a certain condition ripens, there will be cases where a person's intellect collapses, Although there are many who fall into confusion, there are few who can recognize this, so it is said. Formerly in Gawa Yulna, there was a person named Pendar who was in retreat. He did not wear clothes day and night. A patron named Wangtag said, "Living naked like a child is really embarrassing." He said: "What does embarrassment mean? Is it embarrassment or water embarrassment?" Then he laughed. Geshe Nyangmi said: "Aren't you cold?" He said: "If you divide the cold into parts, you won't feel it," and then he laughed. A woman said: "Masters, do you know him?" He said: "What does master mean? Does it refer to the head or the feet?" Then laughed. I thought that he was not tainted by the eight worldly concerns, and I thought that this person was a good person who was not mistaken. Jotsun said: "Where is the goodness in a person who makes mistakes?" Then, he laughed himself. It is difficult to recognize the faults of others, so it is said. In the course of the path, do bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality arise sequentially or simultaneously? The answer was given: This depends on the individual's wisdom, so it is not certain. If applied in meaning, the mind is what grasps external objects as images. Its essence is emptiness, and the uninterrupted manifestation of the clarity of the form of things is clarity. On the basis of clarity, the release of attachment to it is non-conceptuality. Its experience arising in emptiness is bliss. The experience of bliss and clarity is liberated from its essence.
