Since it is not far, it is impossible for a faithful lama not to give instructions. We do not practice using each winter. The mouth says lama, but the mind thinks of worldly things. Calling the true Dharma "true," seeing the disciple's behavior, the lama does not generously transmit it. That's what was said. I only listen to what the lama says and ask for nothing else. After answering like this, the lama asked: Is it true? If it is true, what will happen at the end of mind training? Without tasting the flavor, one cannot transcend the mundane. One must think that one's own kindness to oneself is the greatest. I am gnawing on brown sugar here, but it is better to gnaw on roasted barley flour tsampa in Dingri (present-day Dingri County, Tibet). Wearing silk here, It is better to wear coarse cloth in Dingri (present-day Dingri County, Tibet). The practice of a bad person ends in front of (the lama), and there will be no regrets later. Because there is a blessing of oral instructions, one will not drool over others. It is impossible not to practice in front of the Jowo (JoJo) Lama. After the root lama passes away, no matter how hard one practices, one cannot attain accomplishment in this life. Two-thirds of the path needs to be determined in front of the lama. When going to Yorpo, It is necessary to cut off doubts and reach a point where there is no need to ask others. That's what was said. Understanding the flaws of appearances, thereby liberating the boundaries of knowledge, what does this refer to? When asked this, it is that for such appearances, the reality and characteristics are not established. That itself, directly in its own place, is liberated by its own nature. There, knowing that the objects of the six consciousnesses do not establish self-nature, understanding the self-nature flaws of appearances, there, the attachment to objects disappears. Although various appearances arise, that itself is pure in nature, without objects and without names. There, confusion is liberated in a place where it cannot settle. At that time, the thoughts of desire are liberated in their own place. To transform appearances into the path, one needs to understand the flaws of groundlessness, that's what was said. That only suchness, the key of involuntariness that cannot be controlled, what does this refer to? When asked this, it is that the nature of the agent is empty, relying on the signs of dependent origination, The morning of bathing. There, the thought that clings to anything as self-nature collapses. At that time, it reveals the wisdom that is not defiled by unarranged meditation. All dharmas are empty in nature. Just by correctly seeing in accordance with it, that is the time when suchness manifests, that's what was said. The key to the continuous companionship of awareness like water, what does this refer to? When asked this, the awareness of the meeting of minds

He also said, "It is the essence, but that is not new." I asked, "Don't you remember?" He said, "That is for sure. That is the memory of conditioned appearances, the object to be severed. Now look at the state between the tightness and looseness of awareness." If you do not recognize the flaws of the moment, you will not recognize the flaws of conditioned phenomena. In that way, tightness and looseness continue, and the hairs of delusion are severed one by one. There, afterwards, wisdom gradually arises. He also said, "There, new awareness is continuous." I asked, "What is meant by the so-called view of self-liberation of awareness?" He said, "When the clinging to thoughts disappears, awareness naturally abides, With the uncreated, natural reality, the thought is suddenly grasped, there, the uncreated awareness, independent, does not follow the conceptual thoughts of external objects, there, with the power that does not rely on the mind, the cause naturally combines, because it is not deliberately created, it is the behavior of self-liberation of clinging. The six consciousnesses each occupy their own position, this is the so-called view of self-liberation." I asked, "How does the so-called state of uncreated, non-distracted meditation appear?" He said, "That arises in the behavior of self-liberation of action. When awareness is not taken away by the past and future, protecting it, there will arise a subsequent attainment that does not rely on the root of desire, naturally accomplishing merit. Because it arises from the merit of eliminating prior and subsequent thoughts, awareness does not follow external objects." I asked, "After conceptual thought is liberated, is there still meditation?" He replied, "Only when the defilement of conceptual thought is completely purified is there meditation. After that, where is there better practice?" I asked, "Then, on the pillar, from the pillar is liberated the conceptual thought that is not the pillar, such as water stains and cushions, etc., recognizing the pillar itself, wouldn't that become meditation?" He replied, "The thought of recognizing the pillar itself is conceptual thought. Here, the clarity of the pillar has not disappeared, there, the awareness of clinging is liberated, that is meditation." I asked, "What is the key point of the path relying on dependent origination?" At the time when ordinary conceptual thought disappears, in the absence of a meditation object, some parts that are not like that will clearly appear in the mind, some people will mistakenly recognize it as a wrong path.
