It is particularly excellent. Having been blessed here, that person who desires the transmission of mind training, even if they die tonight, will be separated from the lower realms. If their mind training is highly accomplished, they will be liberated at that very moment. If it is moderately accomplished, they will be liberated in the bardo. Even if it is not accomplished to the lowest degree, in the next life, they will be held by a single emanation body. This was said by the kind lama. Therefore, having encountered such an extraordinary method, not to practice it is, in essence, not wanting to become a Buddha. Know that this is even more foolish than taking a jewel from the ocean and then throwing it away. Even through hearing, it is difficult to definitively understand the view, and even through meditation, it is difficult to realize the meaning. By practicing this, upon waking up in the morning after extracting the essence, there is no way that mind training will not be accomplished and the Buddha's intention will not arise in one's being. This mind training is a teaching that combines view, meditation, approach, and accomplishment. If Jowo Sras Gyowo Ruwa does not achieve accomplishment and does not attain realization through this, then it is like Yamo Pal Tren's son not having the instruction. This was said by the kind lama. Generally, the extent of the entry of blessings depends on oneself. If one sees the lama as a Buddha, then the blessings will arise equal to a Buddha. If one sees the lama as inferior to oneself, then there is no connection for blessings to enter. For example, like a cracked pot that does not absorb water. At the moment when the thought arises that one is certain that the lama is a Buddha, there is no way that realization will not arise in one's own being. This is because, when the being's mind is warm, the appearance of the environment arises as instruction. For example, like Geshe Potowa. Therefore, this mind training is an essential point of instruction. Those without fortune and with wrong views are destined to wander in samsara. In the sutras and tantras, there are many statements that the lama is superior to the Buddha. There are also statements that they are equal. But I have not seen any statements that the lama is inferior to the Buddha. If one views the lama as inferior to oneself, one will be blessed by a demon. This was said by the kind lama. Some people, because they have not practiced well themselves, do not engage in practice and say that the lama is attached to the Dharma. In reality, the lama should be relaxed about the Dharma. Previously, they were annoyed by black oil, and later, at the mere sight of a donkey's penis, they felt disgusted. To view the instructions as something inferior is worldly.

Ah, enough with the trivialities. If I don't see that giving the Dharma loads it onto one's own continuum, if one doesn't practice it oneself, what good is it if I give volumes of scriptures? Wise one, please contemplate this a little. It is said that the essence of secret instructions is different from others. If one doesn't do and practice it oneself, how can it be different? Don't be stingy with the vast Dharma. In seeking a qualified lama, don't cherish your body and life. If profound meaning exists, would it come to someone who likes to lick a dog's butt? Of course not. A container filled with wondrous things exists. To desire wondrous Dharma, one needs a wondrous person. Just as wealth comes into the hands of a garbage collector, profound Dharma will not come. Attaching a horse and armor together, yet unwilling to give it to the lama. A stingy person has never received important instructions before. Sent letters are of no help. If it were really helpful, perhaps it's possible. If one doesn't even give an ounce of gold, let the cover of the scripture remain with him. Let's see if insight and meditation arise in his continuum. This was said by the kind lama. Some say, having associated with those people for so many years, they still haven't given the true Dharma. What do you mean by true Dharma? I think the appearances of the six senses are illusion, dreams, and echoes. Things have been done long ago. You see error as truth and cling to it, I cannot understand. If I don't destroy the trivialities of this life, the benefit of the next life will not be achieved, I have always done this. You are so attached to things, I have nothing to say about it. I prefer to accomplish one thing rather than know a hundred things, I have always thought this. You don't practice anything, just collect and copy scriptures, I cannot understand. I prefer to obtain a good rebirth in the next life rather than become a universal monarch, because a universal monarch will eventually fall into the lower realms. I say again and again, you see suffering as an ornament, who would object? If I don't practice, then what's the point of knowing the Dharma? I have always thought this. You teach the Dharma to others, but you yourself die like an ordinary person, who can understand? For a person without firm conviction, even an emanation cannot help them. For a person with firm conviction, there is no instruction that cannot be given. These are the teachings of Geshe Potowa.
