Instead of exercising their own freedom, they seem to enjoy being slaves to others. Eyes are meant for seeing, but they are plucked out and eaten. Even farming has become a mere fraction. Sitting on a cushion requires great weight, but the head has no brains. Important things are put last, while unimportant things are done first, he said. When asked, "Is this a sign of the wickedness of Tibetans?" He replied, "There are no people more wicked than they and the Indians. Without tasting the flavor, they do not rise from the cushion. Do not insert a wooden nose ring into the nose. Do not tie a rope to the nose ring. Do not entrust the rope to the hand. Establish it upon the local deity of the place. Do not taste many flavors of food, eat one until satisfied. Expecting flour from a self-grinding mill that turns in vain is a bad omen," he said. Homage to the Holy One! Without interrupting the Holy One's speech, when asked when he is happy, he said to the happy one, "There is no need to go back and forth to meaningless places so much," he said. The Indian female meditator does not even ask the Holy One himself. When asked, "What realization do you have?" He replied, "She is convinced that ice is water, so she does not ask people," he said. When asked, "If she is very happy?" He replied, "If you are happy, do it yourself too." She closed her lips, fearing gold dust from her mouth. Now her body is stiff and has turned into gold, he said. Homage to the Holy One! When asked, "Is there a difference between this appearance and the appearance in the bardo?" He replied, "This appearance is called the appearance of illusion. Dreams are called the appearance of habitual tendencies. By placing habitual tendencies on the appearance of illusion, the appearance of confusion arises in the bardo," he said. When asked, "Isn't meditation meant to reverse confusion in the bardo?" He replied, "Meditation is meant to reverse this appearance. By reversing this, dreams are reversed. By reversing dreams, in the bardo, the appearances of the six consciousnesses are naturally purified in their own place, and that which is free from the mind that grasps at things intentionally, that is what they call Jowo Jorden Atisha Buddha, because without stopping self-grasping, until... the appearances cannot be reversed," he said. Homage to the Holy One! When asked, "Do you know that Acharya from yesterday?" He replied, "I do not know him. He seems to be a pandita who knows many teachings, but he has gone unnecessarily," he said. When asked, "How is it?" He replied, "The Dharma itself has not arisen. If it arises, one must abandon desires, but because he has not turned his mind away from desires, he has come here to beg for gold," he said. When asked, "Did the Holy One give him gold?" He replied, "Because I have a lot of gold, I gave it to him, but he did not recognize it," he said. When asked, "Where does the Holy One have gold?"

Picking up a handful of ashes, he said, "This is it." "What use is this for desire? What does it do for it?" He replied, "Because they don't want this, they are uncomfortable. What is lacking in these practitioners, that the experience of contemplation has not arisen in their continuum? They don't even understand appearances as illusion. Although they know that the nature of compounded things is impermanent, they cling to 'I,' which is a bad omen." Then asked, "Holy One, if a person who realizes emptiness commits evil deeds, is it harmful or not harmful?" He replied, "A person who realizes emptiness has no reason to commit evil deeds. The arising of emptiness in the continuum and the arising of compassion are simultaneous." Then asked, "Is emptiness without compassion necessary?" He replied, "Fish should go where there is water, not to a dry place." The Holy One said, "These Tibetan practitioners have the vows of refuge, but they don't keep them." Asked, "Isn't a person who possesses the three vows (vows of individual liberation, bodhisattva vows, and tantric vows) inconceivable?" He replied, "Those who hold vows, but whose minds have not turned away from desire, are no different from ordinary people, it's a pity." Asked, "Are there few practitioners who have abandoned desire?" He replied, "If the mind has not turned away from desire, even if one possesses a hundred sets of the three vows, one will not be liberated from samsara." Asked, "If one is free from desire, will one be liberated from samsara?" He replied, "If the tiger does not leave this line, it will not be happy. This line will lead the tiger into trouble." The Holy One said, "There are few people who truly trust the Dharma from the depths of their hearts." Asked, "What kind of person trusts the Dharma?" He replied, "They do not intentionally pursue worldly affairs." Asked, "It is inconceivable not to intentionally pursue worldly affairs." He replied, "If one does not intentionally pursue worldly affairs, one must abandon desire. However, I have not seen even one person without self-grasping." Asked, "What is the key reason why practitioners do not abandon self-grasping?" He replied, "Because they do not understand that it is unnecessary. This bird cherishes its child so much, what is it doing?" Then asked, "Holy One, what is the true meaning?" He replied, "If you mark a hundred sheep, and there is one among them that is not marked, then recognize the one that is not marked, that unmarked sheep is the mark." Asked, "How can this understanding arise in the continuum?" He replied, "If you transform afflictions into the path, happiness will arise in the continuum. If you are alone, wisdom will be limitless. Do not intentionally grasp."
