It pervades, because it is the proximate cause of the body. If accepted, then the mind should also exist in the dead body. The dead body has no breathing, therefore there is no mind, because breathing is the direct cause of the mind. If one thinks: Breathing, as such, arises from the mind, but the mind does not arise from breathing. If the mind is your cause, then your length etc. are subject to the mind. The previous argument is established. Then, from where does it (breathing) arise without mental effort? It must have a prior mind, just as a person exhales and inhales through action. Furthermore, the mind, as such, from excellence to decline, excellence and decline are obtained from the increase and decrease of breathing, because it is the direct result of breathing. The dead body, as such, should have breathing, because the body exists. The existence of the body implies breathing, which is the same. If the mind is the continuation and proximate cause of the mind, then the dead body should also have the mind. If one thinks: The dead body, as such, even if the mind arises from the mind, it is not the same as having the mind, because you have exhausted the karmic power of the mind's existence. This is universal, because the body and mind exist together, and other motivating actions are also considered causes. If the body is made uncomfortable by disturbances such as wind and bile, then the body is not the cause of the mind, therefore there is no fault in the dead body having no mind, just as a damp tree trunk is not the cause of a lamp. If one thinks: The body that died from wind and bile imbalance, as such, you will be revived again, because the obstacles to revival—diseases such as wind and bile—have disappeared, and the direct cause of revival—the body—is complete. If, like barley, the intermediate order etc. are reversed, the changes in the order etc. are irreversible. If one thinks that death is irreversible: The patient, as such, the changes caused by diseases etc. are not irreversible, because the methods of treating diseases are effective. The agent of change, as such, not all the changes you make are irreversible, because from non-arising to fire, your inner characteristics include both producing irreversible changes and producing reversible changes. For example, fire on wood and fire on hail. First, irreversible change is small, but not reversible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just as wood is turned into charcoal. Q: The transformation caused by disease is something that has a nature, it will happen again, that is, it will reverse, because the disease can be reversed. Just as hail can make soft things hard. If the transformation caused by disease can be reversed, then isn't it contradictory to say that incurable diseases are incurable? A: The disease that is said to be incurable by nourishment, its nature is that the transformation of the disease can be reversed, and you say it is incurable, which is not contradictory, because it is difficult for you to find a cure, such as nourishment, etc., or because the patient you control has exhausted his life and lifespan. Q: If only the imbalance of wind, etc., is the cause of the disease, then therefore, the patient should not have an incurable disease. A: The corpse that died from a poisonous snake bite, why won't your mind revive? It should revive, because the obstacle to revival—the poison—has disappeared, and the material cause—the body—is complete. A: The poisonous snake died after biting, and the poison gathered at the wound. The corpse of the flesh that was cut off and discarded has the same reasoning. The immediate cause and the thing with the immediate cause are like this: without the transformation of the immediate cause, it is impossible to transform the thing with the immediate cause. For example, without the transformation of clay, it is impossible to make pottery. Consciousness, your body has not transformed, you should not be able to transform, because the body is your direct immediate cause. Furthermore, if things have not transformed, then any resulting thing, if it has transformed, should not be the immediate cause of that thing. For example, if there is no transformation of a cow, there will be no transformation of milk. For example, consciousness, you should not be the direct immediate cause of the body, because the body has not transformed into another form, but you have transformed. Body and consciousness are the immediate cause and the thing with the immediate cause, because they exist simultaneously. The consciousness that is just born from the womb, even if it is the immediate cause and the thing with the immediate cause with the body that is just born, can exist simultaneously. The meaning from cause to simultaneous existence is that your immediate cause is the condition that causes you to arise simultaneously. Your immediate cause is the condition that causes you to arise simultaneously, so you exist simultaneously. Just like the melting of fire and copper. If the body and consciousness are what is relied upon and what can be relied upon, will they transform? Body, you should not be considered as something that consciousness cannot help to rely on, because whether the substance exists or not, it cannot help, so there is no need to rely on other things. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
