That which possesses dharma (ྡན་པ་ཆོས་ཅན།), is not mistaken for an elephant, because humans are also a part of you. It is the same for sentient beings. Fourth, refuting the abandonment of that which has no valid proof: It is unreasonable to say that Ishvara (དབང་ཕྱུག་) is the cause of living seeds, because the entity of Ishvara, as the subject of dharma (དབང་ཕྱུག་གི་དངོས་པོ་དེ་ཆོས་ཅན།), when it is not the cause of sprouts, the sprouts should be produced forever. Just as it becomes the cause of sprouts, it should also be eternal. If it is not so, then, as the subject of dharma (དེ་ནི་ཆོས་ཅན།), when it is considered the cause of sprouts, and it is not considered not the cause, the sprouts should never be produced, because it is no different from the time when sprouts are not produced. If that is not pervasive, then what is the reason for the stump? It should not be thought that the body of a black person is the cause of healing wounds, because it should be the cause. It cannot be thought so, because the wound of a black person arises from being struck by a weapon, and the healing of the wound is related to medicine and mantras, etc. The stump has no connection to the cause of healing wounds. Therefore, it is also unreasonable for Ishvara (དབང་ཕྱུག་ཆོས་ཅན།) to produce results such as sprouts, because it is no different from the nature of not producing them. As the subject of dharma (ཆོས་ཅན།), even the ability to produce them is difficult to understand through valid cognition, because until the end, you have not changed the result of evil power, because it is eternal. Sprouts, etc., as the subject of dharma (མྱུག་སོགས་ཆོས་ཅན།), should be like uncompounded space and rabbit horns, etc., without an ultimate cause, because in addition to seeds, etc., it is also thought that the eternal Ishvara is their cause. This is pervasive, if they are helpful, sprouts, etc., will be produced, and if they are not, they will not be produced. If the reason is not established, even though the earth, etc., are no different from the time when sprouts are not produced, they still produce sprouts, then the direct cause of sprouts, the earth, etc., as the subject of dharma (མྱུ་གུའི་དངོས་རྒྱུ་ས་སོགས་ཆོས་ཅན།), should completely change its nature from the time when sprouts are not produced, because they produce sprouts and are the cause. If it is said that the difference in the change of earth, etc., is not seen, then, as the subject of dharma, seeing them is not meaningless, because when their conditions are well assembled, the difference in the result can be seen. If it is said that just as the collection of senses and objects, etc., is no different from not collecting, but they are still the cause of consciousness, Ishvara is also like that, then the collection of senses and objects, as the subject of dharma (ཡུལ་དབང་ཚོགས་པ་དེ་ཆོས་ཅན།), should be no different from each individual when they are not collected, because they have many differences. Senses and objects, as the subject of dharma (ཡུལ་དབང་ཆོས་ཅན།), even if you gather together, you do not have the ability to generate consciousness.

Because each individual object and sense faculty lacks the power to generate its respective consciousness, and because there is no difference in the nature of objects and sense faculties. The subject, each individual object and sense faculty, is established as distinct because it generates sense consciousness. The reason is because of that. Object and sense faculty, subject, if you gather together, you are the cause of sense consciousness, because each of you individually lacks the power to generate sense consciousness, but gathering together may possess the quality of generating it. Īśvara (自在天), etc., subject, should be the cause of the result, because when not doing it, there is no difference. Regarding the fourth point, there are two refutations. The first is: A pramāṇa-puruṣa (量士夫) is someone who knows hidden things, and there is no such proof, so there is no method of effort. Therefore, it is a measure that relies on proof, not an unestablished reason. As some, such as Jadur Jangpen, say. The second is: Those with conceptual thought who seek liberation, subject, in order to strive for the means of pacifying suffering taught by the teacher, seek some person who possesses the wisdom of means, because instructing that means without knowing the means of pacifying suffering, for those seeking liberation with doubts, shows errors in the means. Because for the wise who possess the wisdom of means, it is what should be relied upon. That, subject, if relying on the Bhagavan (薄伽梵) as the teacher, one should discern whether he possesses the wisdom of understanding the means, because the means of pacifying suffering will become his, that is, your proof. Subject, after observing whether this teacher knows the number of insects, knowing the number of insects is not what should be relied upon as the means of pacifying suffering, because knowing the number of insects is of no use whatsoever for pacifying suffering. The Bhagavan, subject, for those seeking liberation, is a pramāṇa-puruṣa, because regarding the reality of what should be adopted and abandoned, that is, the four truths (四谛) of adoption and abandonment and their means, he has completely realized them. Therefore, merely knowing all the things one wants to know, such as the number of insects, is not considered a reliable measure for those seeking liberation. Therefore, subject, whether one can see far away or not, one should be worthy of reliance by those seeking liberation, because he directly sees the reality of what he desires, that is, the four truths, without distortion. If only seeing far away is the measure, then those seeking liberation, subject, should rely on vultures, etc., as teachers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
