One should not strive to argue. Regarding phenomena that arise from causes, what is the nature of mind that appears to you? How does that mind exist? Does it exist or not? If it exists, there must be evidence to prove the existence of mind. However, even if you search repeatedly, you cannot find any evidence to prove the manifestation of the nature of mind. Refuting the extreme view that samsara does not exist: Third, if sentient beings newly arise from something that did not exist before, then sentient beings will not necessarily have the certainty of generating attachment and other afflictions. Because they arise from the body and do not rely on the previous similar kind, they will generate attachment and other afflictions. If someone says that all beings are necessarily endowed with attachment and other afflictions because they do not transcend the nature of the four great elements (earth, water, fire, and wind), then all sentient beings will become equally attached. Because they are considered to have the same material cause. If someone says that due to the differences in the four great elements, attachment and other afflictions will also vary, so there is no problem. Then, according to your view, even if there is no difference in the strength of life force among beings, merely relying on the four great elements, differences in the strength of attachment and other afflictions will arise. Then, these four great elements may change from a state where attachment and other afflictions previously existed to a state where attachment and other afflictions do not exist. Because attachment and other afflictions are separable substances for you, just as your excellent qualities diminish, attachment and other afflictions will also increase and decrease. If someone says that even though attachment and other afflictions increase and decrease differently, the overall nature of the four great elements as the cause does not change, so it is impossible to be without attachment. Then, all beings will become equally attached because they have the same nature of material cause. For example, the cognition of a spotted cow will not mistakenly identify it as an ordinary cow. Because its nature is of the same kind as a cow and arises from a cow. Or, according to the Vaisheshika school's view, there is also no hierarchy of differences in the strength of life force among beings because their material causes—the four great elements such as earth—are the same. If someone says that even if there is a difference in heat, there will be no fire without heat, similarly, there will be no being without attachment here. Then, heat is not an attribute of fire but a substance different from fire. Because measurement can prove that heat is a substance different from fire. Therefore, attachment and other afflictions... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The elements such as earth, in some cases, the constituent elements may cease to exist, because they are attributes with incremental or decremental differences that exist outside of the constituent elements. For example, like coarse cloth and white, etc. If forms, etc., that did not previously exist in the constituent elements appear as if they exist, then humans are also necessarily bound to have desires, etc., so it cannot be determined whether things that did not previously exist will combine. If this is said, then knowable phenomena, just as forms, etc., exist in the constituent elements, it cannot be determined that desires, etc., also exist in humans, because forms, etc., are inseparable from the constituent elements, while desires, etc., can be separated from humans and are different things. If forms, etc., are inseparable from the constituent elements, then desires, etc., are also inseparable from the constituent elements, then this argument is not established. Desires, etc., phenomena, cannot be inseparable from the constituent elements, because if they were, there would be the fault of arising simultaneously with the constituent elements. If it is said that desires, etc., arise from approaching beautiful forms, etc., then there is no fault. Desires, etc., of the wheel of consciousness, it cannot be determined whether they occasionally arise from approaching their object of apprehension, beautiful forms, etc., because they apprehend the appearing object that is interpreted by concepts. Desires, etc., phenomena, it cannot be determined whether they occasionally arise, because they are minds that lack their own equal cause. The argument is not established, because the constituent elements are the equal cause. If this is said, then all consciousness phenomena, will arise at all times, because the cause, the constituent elements, is constant. Explanation of the aspects of suffering The third is aspects, there are four: impermanence, selflessness, suffering, emptiness. The first is: the aggregates of grasping, are impermanent, because they are occasionally observed. The second is: phenomena, are suffering, because they are contaminated phenomena that are the basis of faults, and because they are controlled by the cause, afflictions. The third is: phenomena, are not self, because they are impermanent and subject to others. The fourth is: not a self that enters through my blessing, because I am not your blesser, because I am not your cause. The argument is established, because how do I produce the aggregates, because I am not, because I am constant. Phenomena, the many aggregates will not arise after you at different times, because you are constant and one. Furthermore, the resulting eye consciousness phenomena, there are other causes besides the mental image. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
