Furthermore, 'pervasion' (khyab) means that it is a characteristic that distinguishes things from those things. Third, the practice of seeing selflessness, that itself is the subject. There is a reason to say that 'showing' (stonpar) is declared as the cause in the offering words of the Compendium (Kunbtus), because the showing itself is the cause. There is a reason to say that the intention to benefit others and the habituation to skillful means are the cause of that showing itself, because you two are primarily the cause of the Sugata (bde gshegs) who has accomplished the perfection of self-interest. As the translation says, 'because it is primarily the cause of accomplishment'. Explanation of the Sugata: Fifth, regarding the Sugata (bde gshegs), there are two parts: the Sugata with the perfection of abandonment and the Sugata who abandons disputes. The Sugata with the perfection of abandonment: First, the complete Buddha is the subject, is the Sugata, because he rejoices and possesses the three special qualities of abandonment. 'Pervasion' (khyab) means that the three special qualities of abandoning the cause of suffering are the Sugata himself. So, what are these three abandonments? The subject, your abandonment is good, because you have abandoned it in the right way, no longer being the source of your own suffering, and no longer accepting contaminated things. This reason is valid, because he has passed away through the direct vision of seeing selflessness as the antidote to suffering. So, what is regression? An ordinary person is the subject, will regress again into samsara, because suffering and faults, etc., constantly arise in his mind. Thus it is said. The Bhagavan (bcom ldan 'das) is the subject, will not return to samsara, because he has abandoned the seed of self-grasping (bdag lta), and has directly realized the reality of the Four Noble Truths, and is different from self-grasping, because they are contradictory and are the nature of mind. So, what remains to be abandoned? Hearers (nyan ran dgra bcom) and Solitary Realizers (dgra bcom) are the subject, there remains something to be abandoned, because there remains the bad karma of body, speech, and mind, and they are not clear in explaining liberation and the path to liberation. Even so, Hearers and Solitary Realizers are the subject, are not practitioners of afflictions, because they have no afflictions in their minds, and are not tormented by the suffering of samsara. The Bhagavan is the subject, has also completely abandoned bad karma, because he has thoroughly perfected the habituation of seeing selflessness through many skillful means. Explanation of abandoning disputes: Second, some people such as kings (rgyal) and diviners, your teacher is the subject.

Faults, defilements, etc., will not be exhausted, because they can be talked about, they exist, they are knowable, they are measurable, etc. Someone says: 'Speaking,' etc., these dharmas are the wrong reason for establishing 'exhaustion,' because there is doubt about its opposite pervasion. Some sentient beings, are dharmas, faults, defilements, etc., will not be exhausted, because they are permanent, or because there is no way to eliminate impermanence. Or even if there is a way, they do not know it.' If they assert permanence in this way, then, the dharma is not permanent, because it has its own cause; and it is also impossible not to have a way to eliminate it, because by familiarizing oneself with the antidote to the 'self' that you are attached to, they will be exhausted. Those with conceptual thought, are dharmas, knowing that antidote is also established, because they know that grasping at 'self' is the nature of the cause of defilements, etc. Sixth, the explanation of the protector: The Great Sage (Thubchen), is a protector, because he is the ultimate person who sees the path to liberation with a long-term view and speaks it as it is. It is a dharma, he does not speak of the path to liberation in a reversed way, because speaking of the reversed path to liberation will not have the fruit of realizing the two benefits, and it is not without compassion, because he has great compassion, and all those who strive for the path to liberation act for the benefit of other sentient beings. Therefore, it is a dharma, for those seeking liberation, he is a valid person, because he is the ultimate person who can clearly show the path to liberation that he has realized in his heart to those seeking liberation. Explaining in reverse order and establishing validity through the sign of the result: Divided into five points: Explaining the protector from the perspective of causes and conditions; From the protector, the Sugata is established; From the Sugata, the practitioner of the path is established; From the practitioner, the intention to benefit others is established; The way to establish validity through these four points. First, explaining the protector from the perspective of causes and conditions: Divided into two points: Showing protection by explaining the Four Noble Truths; Determining the Four Noble Truths to be explained. First, showing protection by explaining the Four Noble Truths: From the previous cause such as benefiting others, to establish the later result such as explaining, this is to establish validity from the nature of the sign. Or, from the later result such as protection, to establish the previous cause such as the Sugata, this is to explain that the Buddha is valid from the sign of the result. The Great Sage (Thubchen), is a dharma, is the protector of those seeking liberation, because he is the ultimate person who speaks the Four Noble Truths of suffering, origin, cessation, and path without reversing them.
