Also, because the types of mind and wisdom are diverse and varied. If each part is the self of a person, then it becomes not independent but dependent on others, becomes not permanent but impermanent, becomes erroneous, and becomes not one but many. Therefore, there is no nature of self. If each part is not the self of a person, then there is no collection of body, speech, and mind other than the parts. The ninth point is to refute by examining the pervader and the pervaded: Generally, there are two types of pervader and pervaded: one with the same nature of self-connection, and the other with different natures. Which one is it? First, if the pervader, the self, and the pervaded, the aggregates, are the same entity, then the previously mentioned faults will occur. Second, if it is not the same as the pervaded, then I will not experience the results of happiness and suffering from the power of good and bad deeds, because the pervader is not related to good and bad deeds. Similarly, when a sentient being previously bound in samsara practices the path and attains liberation, the self of the one who attains liberation will be gone, because it is not related to the practice of the path in the state of being bound. The tenth point is to refute by examining perception: If the person called "offering" is the self, then the person called "virtuous friend" will also enter my perception of the person called "offering," just as when anyone sees Mount Meru, they will enter the perception of Mount Meru itself without any difference. Therefore, the offering itself, one clings to as self, while the virtuous friend clings to as other, and the virtuous friend's own self enters my perception, while Deva enters the perception of others, and so on. Because various different ways of entering perception arise, I am merely imputed by the mind, and the self is not established from the object itself. If it were established, then on the object where one sentient being enters my perception, all sentient beings would also have to enter my perception. The eleventh point is the principle of the three baskets.

Establishing the absence of a personal self through the teachings of the scriptures: The clinging to a self is called the mind of Mara. The reason for this is that clinging to it gives rise to afflictive emotions such as attachment, and because it arises from the power of the lord of others' emanations. Therefore, it is called the mind of Mara. Alternatively, the Sanskrit word for Mara is "māra" (藏文:མ་དྲ་ཡ་,梵文天城体:mara,梵文罗马拟音:māra,汉语字面意思:魔), which also applies to death. Because it is driven by self-clinging, accumulating karma, thereby taking birth and dying, and again taking birth and dying, etc., it is the cause of repeatedly dying and decaying. Therefore, it is said that way. Therefore, even if you look at or cling to such a mind of Mara, because the five aggregates are empty of a personal self, there is no truly existent self or sentient being in these aggregates. So, what is this clinging to a self and a sentient being? Just as a chariot is named by relying on the collection of parts such as the axle, body, yoke, wheels, and what connects them, similarly, by relying on the collection of the five aggregates, a sentient being is merely conventionally designated as existent. The twelfth point is refuting with the reasoning of Dharmakirti: Sentient beings seek something other that is superior to their own respective five aggregates of appropriation, and because the self's birth and death are also fully grasped by wisdom. Therefore, people know through experience that the personal self is different from the aggregates, etc., through these two reasons. Second, specifically refuting the objects of the twenty views of the perishable collection: In general, the Bhagavan said in the sutras that there are twenty views of the perishable collection, which are the five ways of clinging to each of the five aggregates as a self; the ten ways of clinging to the self as possessing each of the five aggregates in the manner of a friend or retinue; the fifteen ways of clinging to the self as the support abiding in each of the five aggregates in the manner of a support; and the twenty ways of clinging to each of the five aggregates as the support abiding in the manner of a support. That is,
