hermaphrodite(阴阳人)不是“我”,因为和女人形体不同。

It is only by the power of (me) that you think you are masters, which is utterly absurd. In order to explain these principles in detail, first examine the characteristics of the body and refute them: A man is not the "I" of a person (pudgala), because he is different from the form of a woman. A woman is not the "I", because she is different from the form of a man. A hermaphrodite is not the "I", because he is different from the form of a woman. If someone says that this does not apply to all situations. Then, in order to establish this pervasiveness, it can be said that for three things that are contradictory and extremely different in nature, it is completely unreasonable to be the same entity as the "I". A man has the characteristics of having affection for a woman, having courage, etc., while a woman has the opposite characteristics, and a hermaphrodite has different characteristics from both. Furthermore, if you claim that the "I" is the very nature of things, then it contradicts having all kinds of characteristics, because the very nature of things must be the same in essence, or even if it is not the same in essence, it must be very similar and without difference. Examine the previous and subsequent characteristics and refute them: Two men love each other and become friends; however, these two men may become without lust and become enemies of each other. In this case, if the state of having lust and being friendly is the "I", then the state of being without lust and being hostile is not the "I", because the characteristics of having lust and not having lust are very different. Furthermore, if the state of being bound by afflictions is the "I" of a person (pudgala), then the state of being liberated from afflictions is not the "I", because the characteristics of being bound and liberated are very different. If someone says that even if the characteristics are contradictory, the entity is still the same, then land, stones, etc. will also become the "I", because even if the characteristics are contradictory, the entity is still the same, isn't this too much? To admit that extremely different things are the same entity of the "I" of a person (pudgala) is extremely absurd. If someone thinks that even if the characteristics are diverse, there is no contradiction in being the "I", then, if you claim that the "I" of a person (pudgala) is the very nature of things, then the very nature must have the same essence. Even if this is not the case, it must be very similar, but all kinds of differences and dissimilarities.

This itself is contradictory. Therefore, if the self of a person is that one and only reality, then various different forms and so on are contradictory. Sixth point, refutation by examining the agent: Because of experiencing the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and equanimity, there is no self that experiences feelings. For example, when the sense of the eye and the object of form, and the consciousness of the eye, the three combined, the touch that fully experiences the object of form, and after the touch, the feeling of pleasure is experienced, there is no self that experiences pleasure, the experiencer is like what the feeling has done. Similarly, the taker and the goer are also not the self of a person. If these are the self, then even without the hand of the taker and the foot of the goer, they should be able to perform actions such as taking and going, but in fact, without these, the self alone cannot perform any actions of taking and going, because doing these actions must rely on hands and feet. Therefore, it is established that the taker is the hand and the goer is the foot. Seventh point, refutation by examining the agent and the experiencer of the ripening result: Virtuous and non-virtuous actions are seen to be done by the body with mind, speech with mind, and even by mind alone. The self does not do actions, and if I do not do actions, why would I experience the result? It should not be experienced, because I did not do actions at the time of the cause. Therefore, the agent is done by body, speech, and mind, and the ripening result should also be reasonably experienced by the collection of body, speech, and mind. Eighth point, refutation by examining the parts: The opponent says, the agent is the collection of body, speech, and mind, and the experiencer of the ripening result is also the collection of body, speech, and mind, which is very reasonable. However, the collection of body, speech, and mind is the self. If you say so, then the collection of body, speech, and mind can never be the self, because body, speech, and mind are composed of many parts. The body has many parts such as hands, feet, internal organs, etc., and these parts have many particles, and the particles themselves are composed of inner, outer, particles, and eight substances.
