For these, it is not controlled by the self of a person, but follows the consistent cause and effect. Being skilled in the senses is the sixth antidote, because a person is not the cause of the master, but serves as the basis for the master of the twenty-one senses. Being skilled in time is the seventh antidote, because the self is not permanent, but undergoes arising and ceasing through the three times (past, present, future). Being skilled in the four noble truths is the eighth antidote, because the self of a person is not a place of complete defilement and purification, but the first two truths are the place of complete defilement, and the latter two are the place of complete purification. Being skilled in the vehicle is the ninth antidote, and being skilled in conditioned and unconditioned phenomena is the tenth antidote. Secondly, explaining this in detail again, it is divided into two parts: identifying the nature of the view of the aggregates, and refuting its object of attachment. The first part is further divided into four aspects: explaining the object of attachment to the self, explaining the object of attachment to what belongs to the self, examining its object, and examining the view of the aggregates as ignorance. The first aspect is: the object of the conceptual thought that grasps at the self is the five aggregates of one's own continuum; and the aspect is to grasp at that object with the mode of grasping that views "I" as the self. So, does one only grasp at the five aggregates of one's own continuum as the self, and does not generate the concept of grasping at the self for objects other than that? Because the conceptual thought that grasps at the self is a deluded mind, and conceptual thought is of an unstable and wavering nature, it is possible to generate the concept of grasping at the self even for sentient beings included in the continuum of others, and for objects that are not understood as the continuum of sentient beings, and even for inanimate objects. That is to say, whatever is deluded is the conceptual thought that grasps at what is not that as that, so it is not absolutely certain, but the mode of grasping of conceptual thought will change immediately. And for the reality of the object, the conceptual thought that grasps at that as that will not change immediately, but will be deeply rooted.

It is abiding. Therefore, the conceptual thought of self-grasping is that, for any of the five aggregates gathered by one's own continuum, there arises a notion of grasping as self at all times. In other situations, such as for one's own relatives and close ones, when others harm them, one thinks, "This person has harmed me," and thus a notion of self arises for relatives and close ones. Also, for one's own house and fields, when they are harmed, one thinks, "This has harmed me," and thus a notion of self arises for the house and fields. Even when focusing on one's own continuum to generate a notion of self, it is not entirely definite. Because the notion of self constantly arises for the aggregate of consciousness, sometimes the notion of self arises only for consciousness, sometimes grasping as self for just those two, consciousness and the aggregate of form, and sometimes, adding the aggregate of feeling on top of that, grasping at all three, up to grasping as self for all five aggregates, etc., arising in an indefinite manner is clearly seen. Things do not exist even merely conventionally, therefore they are impossible as objects of knowledge. Whether it is innate or imputed intellect, it is the same, because the permanent, single, and independent Here, because of mistaking something that is not at all clear as existent, perceiving it in a reversed manner, it is a special kind of ignorance. For example, like designating a non-human as human. For that reason, the view of the transitory collection is born from the cause of ignorance, and it will also generate the result of ignorance. Because its own nature is related to many friends of ignorance, some intelligent ones such as the glorious Dharmakirti also used the term ignorance. Generally, if we consider it in terms of being condensed into three afflictions, then all five views are condensed into ignorance. However, when explaining the divisions of six, ten, and twenty afflictions, it is necessary to cite the view of the transitory collection and ignorance separately. The ignorance within the twelve links of dependent origination is not this. When condensing into three afflictions, the way in which all types of afflictions are condensed into the three poisons, as explained earlier in the second chapter. Second, refuting its object
