The arising without seeds, the final cessation of the aggregates of an Arhat, is also established as momentary. Since the final moment of the cessation of the aggregates exists, the continuum of moments, such as the moments preceding it, is established as uninterrupted. If there were no arising and ceasing moment by moment, then the moment of the final cessation of the aggregates of an Arhat, arising as a seedless entity, would also be impossible. Here, when a Hearer or Solitary Realizer Arhat completely passes into nirvana without remainder, it is said that the continuum of aggregates ceases and the seeds are abandoned. This is during the time of debate with the Hearer schools. This is presenting their view as an argument. As for the Great Vehicle's own system, although the gross aggregates of the three realms of samsara cease, the continuum of aggregates in general does not cease, because one takes a mind-made body, and the seeds of these two are also not abandoned, because they are not separate from the seeds of ignorance and habitual tendencies. Therefore, at the moment of attaining complete Buddhahood, there is a moment when the aggregates and all seeds completely cease. Arising merely as an image is also established as momentary, because it follows the mind of that yogi. This means that yogis who have attained mastery over their minds also generate conviction in all appearances, everything appears as unique, and when this is connected with the samadhi of illusion, it becomes possible to show that appearance to others, and sometimes it appears and sometimes it does not appear, and so on, various arisings and cessations occur, because the mind of the yogi follows the moment, so those appearances also arise and cease moment by moment. The statement that all conditioned phenomena are momentary, from the direct teaching, refers to the conditioned phenomena that depend on sentient beings, which is the case in this middle section of the text. However, it is also necessary to understand this in the context of establishing that all conditioned phenomena are momentary above, and in the context of establishing that the conditioned phenomena that depend on external objects are momentary below. Therefore, this is like a clarification in the middle. Third, external conditioned phenomena are established as momentary.

Accomplishment is earth, water, fire, and wind, the four elements, and form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and the form that arises from the sense-sphere of phenomena. These six things should be spoken of as momentary. Water dries up moment by moment in the cool season, and rivers gradually rise in the summer, which is obvious. Therefore, water is proven to be momentary. If it did not increase or decrease moment by moment, it would eventually dry up or become completely full, which is impossible. Wind is by nature moving, so it is proven to be momentary, because it is impossible to remain in one place, its nature is to move and travel. Moreover, wind is also proven to be momentary, because it can be clearly seen to grow from small to large and decrease from large to small. Fire is also proven to be momentary, because depending on the strength of the fuel wood, the size of the burning flame also varies. Earth is also proven to be momentary, because it is related to the three elements of water, fire, and wind, which are momentary. Moreover, since the object of relation is proven to be momentary, the dharma that is related to it should also be considered momentary. This can be analogized to other things, for example, fire is momentary because it is related to the other three elements, and so on. Form is proven to be momentary, because it can be seen to change through four kinds of transformations. Among the four kinds of transformations, the transformation caused by karma refers to the fact that the good and bad karma of sentient beings causes the container world to become good or bad; the transformation caused by harm refers to the fact that people digging the earth causes it to become low-lying, and adding other substances causes it to become high; the transformation caused by the elements refers to the fact that the power of water causes the ground to become low-lying; the transformation caused by time refers to the fact that after a long time, people's bodies become old and worn out. Similarly, color, that is, form, smell, taste, and touch, are all momentary, because the reasons are the same as the above principles. Sound is also proven to be momentary, for example, striking a drum with a stick
