It is, just as when flowers, fruits, etc., grow on the right mountain, the left mountain must also grow. In this way, although the two mountains do not depend on each other in essence, they only depend on each other in terms of designation. Because the establishment of the right depends on the left, and the establishment of the left depends on the right. Therefore, the terminology of the right depends on the left. But the essence is not interdependent. However, therefore, the main aspect of dependent origination must be the producer and the produced. Therefore, those who claim that self-empty things depend on the real and the unreal, and the unreal depends on the real, are only saying that the nominal understanding of the unreal depends on the nominal understanding of the real, but these two are not interdependent in essence, because the unreal is insubstantial. Because for things that have nothing, there is no reason to depend on each other. Therefore, by this reasoning of dependent origination, it can cut off all nets of evil views. To say that this reason for dependent establishment is an unprecedented reason for cutting off the clinging to reality is also unreasonable. Only by this can it be determined that all dependent origination of nominal establishment is unreal. Because it can be so, it can be established that all imputed dharmas are unreal. But the dependent origination of the producer and the produced, the other-powered things, cannot be determined to be unreal. In this way, the Bhagavan led the non-existent with the existent, and led the existent with the non-existent. Therefore, it is said that one should not say existent, nor should one say non-existent. In this way, isn't it said that all dharmas depend on each other in essence? This refers to the dependent origination of nominal establishment. It is so. In general, the Sanskrit word for self is Atman Due to the simplification of the sound, things that can exist independently without depending on anything are called self, and this becomes the category of the dharma-self. If viewed from the perspective of the meaning of the word, it refers to the "I" that is clung to with the five aggregates as the object, and this becomes the category of the person-self. The so-called view of self is actually the view of the collection of fears, and it is the nature of destruction and impermanence.

Clinging to the aggregates of the skandhas, holding "I" as self, is indeed ignorance and a further explanation of it. As long as there is ignorance that is ignorant of the Four Noble Truths, it (self-grasping) also exists; when ignorance is abandoned, it is also abandoned. Thus, ignorance is the cause of the arising of the view of the perishable collection. Because of the mind's delusion that does not fully understand the aggregates of the skandhas as being without self, relying on this deluded mind, the view of the perishable collection arises, mistakenly believing that there is a self in them. This is because the view of the perishable collection has a very clear appearance. Ignorance, on the other hand, is an unclear appearance that does not distinguish any parts, so the two are contradictory in appearance and mode of grasping. Although ignorance itself does not directly arise from the view of the perishable collection, ignorance arises from the power of the seeds of long-standing inverted views. Therefore, there are three divisions of the view of the perishable collection, namely, the three realms. The view of the perishable collection included in the desire realm is only unwholesome, while that included in the upper two realms is obscured and unspecified. Therefore, there is no such thing as a "person-self" on top of the five skandhas. Although the object of such grasping does not exist in reality, due to the mind's delusion, the grasped aspect of the mode of grasping of the self, and the conceptual thought that grasps it, are called the grasping of the person-self. Such a person-self cannot be destroyed at any time, so grasping it as permanent is the view of permanence. Moreover, since the self is not permanent from beginningless time, but suddenly arises from this intermediate stage and remains permanent indefinitely thereafter, this grasping, as well as the grasping that two lives, three lives, years, months, days, and in short, a period of time, even the second moment, will not disappear, is the view of permanence dependent on the grasping of the person-self. If one assumes that there was a previously truly established self, and believes that it will disappear and be cut off at some other time in the future, this is the view of annihilation dependent on the grasping of the person-self. These two kinds of grasping are called extreme views, which cause one to fall into the precipices of permanence and annihilation.
