is imputation itself. Moreover, it is mainly what is imputed. For other-powered phenomena, there is the dependent arising of what is produced and what produces; for imputation, the pervasion of what is posited and what posits is not definite. In the dependent arising of what is produced and what produces, there are two types: temporary and genuine dependent arising. The first type can be considered in terms of the external container world. For example, from the producing causes such as seeds, fields, water, fertilizer, warmth, moisture, and timely climate, the produced sprouts, stems, and fruits arise. As for sentient beings, for example, any karma is accumulated, and that karma is left in the mind in the form of an imprint. When that imprint is awakened by external conditions, the appearances of one's own body, speech, and mind arise. As an example for inner consciousness, the consciousnesses such as sense consciousnesses are produced from the four producing conditions. Regarding what is posited and what posits, there are two types: the dependent arising of what is posited and what posits that relies on what is produced and what produces, and the dependent arising of what is posited and what posits that does not rely on it. The first is, for example, the arising of the consciousness that appears as a sprout from the consciousness that appears as a seed is the actual cause and effect of what is produced and what produces. Based on that, the object of grasping of the conceptual mind that apprehends that what appears as a seed is the cause of the sprout is similar to the appearance of the object of grasping of the apprehension that apprehends that what appears as a sprout is the fruit. In general, something that merely appears as a seed is a knowable phenomenon and also an appearance, and the part of the conceptual mind that apprehends it as something that appears as externally distant and apprehends it as cause and effect is imputed, which is the part of appearance. The second is, for example, positing something as large in relation to something small, and positing the center based on the edge. For example, if two objects exist separately, the thought of one being large or small in relation to the other does not arise, but when the two objects are together, that thought arises. For example, the king of mountains, Gangchen (Mount Kailash), is posited as small in relation to Mount Sumeru, which is due to the conceptual mind that apprehends Mount Sumeru as large.

The arising of the thought that clings to "is" is the way thoughts arise. That is, the former is the placer, and the latter is the placed. Second, the true dependent arising is the ālaya-vijñāna that possesses all the habitual tendencies. Second, regarding the detailed explanation of the classification of dependent arising, it is explained in terms of the meaning of dependent arising, the classification of dependent arising, and the suchness of dependent arising. The first aspect is that the Sanskrit of dependent arising is Pratītyasamutpāda, in which Pratītya means the collection or gathering of names, Utpāda means to produce, to arise, and Sam means to approach, to arise completely or definitely. That is, it is impossible for any object to arise from one cause to produce multiple effects, nor is it possible for multiple causes to produce one effect. Therefore, multiple causes and conditions come together to produce multiple effects, so it is called dependent arising. For example, a seed has various properties such as color, shape, taste, and power, plus various conditions such as water, fertilizer, temperature, and humidity, which produce a sprout that also has various properties such as color, taste, and power. This is from the perspective of what is produced and what can be produced, and for the placer and the placed, it is also from the sign of being the cause that the inference that the effect is impermanent arises. Alternatively, Pratītya is the first, the prior, and Utpāda is what has arisen, but when it is related to the latter, the relation is also inclusive, such as Sambandha. In this way, the latter is the effect, arising from the former cause, and the two are related to each other, so it is called dependent arising. This later explanation of dependent arising is only from the perspective of the action of producing the effect and being the cause, and it is not necessarily so for the placed and the placer. Second, regarding the detailed explanation of the classification of dependent arising, it is divided into three classifications, eight classifications, and a detailed explanation of the twelve branches. The first is dependent arising that distinguishes the nature, and dependent arising that distinguishes the pleasant and the unpleasant.
